Samsung Galaxy S Camera Features 21x Megazoom, Launch Date Set

South Korean manufacturer Samsung is due to launch Samsung Galaxy S Camera powered by Google’s Android operating system featuring 21x megazoom. The photo of the digital camera shows the user interface is similar to Galaxy S III smartphone only that it comes with considerably bigger and more powerful lens. An exclusive report from GSM Arena suggests that it comes with really powerful specs and packed with typical and advanced features.

Despite the fact that Apple gets ready to ban one of Samsung’s smartphones, the Galaxy S II, it has been reported that the company is going to launch its own Android-powered digital camera called Galaxy S Camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S Camera is believed to run on 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will feature a 16-megapixel sensor. Reports also suggest that it will sport a 4.8-inch AMOLED display, a curved handgrip, and a pop-up Xenon flash. On the other hand, this camera will come in two versions; one features Wi-Fi and the other Wi-Fi and 3G. Apparently, this will enable users to upload photos to social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

To be able to upload photos taken while on the go is one of the amazing features a digital camera can offer to enthusiasts today and for now only a few are actually capable of doing this. While the design is apparently patterned after the popular Galaxy S3 and runs on ICS, it is unlikely to come with voice-recognition technology but the consolation is that it comes with an extremely large 21x zoom optics.

According to GSM Arena, this latest addition to Samsung’s Galaxy line will be introduced at IFA.  We should expect Samsung Galaxy S Camera as one of the interesting new products in the upcoming electronics show in Berlin, Germany.

With Samsung’s soon to be launched Android-based camera, competition in the market with Nikon’s Coolpix S800c, which is set to be released this September, will surely become a cutthroat.  It is completely understandable how rapidly companies are developing new gadgets and introducing them to the market.

The features that the Samsung Galaxy S Camera, which are soon to be showcased, will surely entice both photography and Android enthusiasts.
