S7 Edge Wi-Fi And Bluetooth Not Turning On

Problem: I have a S7 Edge  with the operating system of Nougat. My phone used to be able to turn on wifi and bluetooth. And scan for networks and connect and pair. A couple weeks ago that all stopped. I can’t turn on wifi or bluetooth anymore, and the phone no longer searches for available networks. I haven’t done any form of modifications and there is no damage to my phone. I’ve done every reset i know about including factory reset. Still no luck in turning those things on. Is there even a possible solution?

Solution: Since you have already performed a factory which doesn’t fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a defective Wi-Fi/Bluetooth IC. This component usually costs less than $20 however since you won’t have the necessary tools to replace this component then I suggest that you bring the phone to a service center and have this repaired.

S7 Edge Keeps Connecting To The Internet

Problem: My S7 edge keeps connecting to internet (i believe through through mobile data), even though wi fi and mobile are both switched off, and they are definitely both off. The internet connection comes and goes despite both wifi and mobile data being switched off. I can access messenger, yahoo mail… but only intermittently. Smart switch is off. All apps have the permission to override system turned off. What is happening? Once my mobile data with O2 is used up this no longer happens… no internet connection unless I have wifi turned on. My phone was originally purchased through Verizon in the USA. Though now i am in the UK. Intrigued to know what is happening. Rather disturbing really.

Solution: What you should do right now is to first check if the problem is caused by an app you downloaded. To do this you need to start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. In case the problem does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S7 Edge No Internet When Connected To Mobile Data

Problem: My s7 edge when connected to the internet through mobile data, no apps (snapchat twitter internet browsers facebook) work. Only whatsapp works, but even with it, i can only send messages and make calls. I can’t share or receive media or voice notes. Please how do I fix this

Solution: The first thing you need to do in this case is to make sure that you have an active mobile data connection that lets you freely access the Internet and not just certain apps and websites. Once you have made checked this the next step is to troubleshoot the phone by following the steps listed below.

  • Make sure the phone is getting an LTE signal.
  • Check if the problem occurs when the phone is started in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S7 Edge Won’t Stay Connected To Wi-Fi

Problem: My phone wont stay hooked up to wifi and when it does it says weak signal or authentication problems all related to the wifi. also i push the settings app and it will say settings has stopped working. i have been through the steps, reset device, reboot, iv changed the dns in wifi the only thing i haven’t tried was safe mode but it wont go into safe mode tried many times can i download anything that i  can help fix these issues i do have adb installer. thank you

Solution: The first thing you need to do is to check if this problem occurs in just this particular Wi-Fi network or in any Wi-Fi network. If it only occurs on this Wi-Fi network then you should try forgetting this network from the phone then connect to it again. If the issue persists then this might be caused by some security settings on the router. You will have to check the router settings and make sure that it allows your phone to connect successfully.

In case the problem occurs even when the phone is connected to other Wi-Fi networks then you will have to perform the following steps listed below.

  • Start your phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
