S7 Edge Does Not Fast Charge
Problem: Hi! My Galaxy S7 Edge does not want to fast charge through the usb cable, and i have tried to soft reset it, and even factory reset. I have a feeling that it might have something to do with the usb port, but i am not sure. I have used multiple cables and even used the charger with different wall sockets in my house, but nothing seems to be working. What should i do?
Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset which doesn’t fix the problem then this might already be a hardware related issue. Listed below are the troubleshooting steps that you need to do to fix this problem.
- The first step is to clean the charging port of your phone as sometimes dirt or debris stuck in this port can cause charging problems. Use a can of compressed air to clean the port. Once this is done try to check if the issue still occurs.
- Try using a different charging cord. This cord gets easily damaged especially when it is constantly coiled or bent and this might be what’s happening in this case.
- Try using a different wall charger. Make sure it has an output rating of at least 2.0 A.
If the problem still occurs even after performing the steps listed above then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Moisture Detected Error
Problem: Hello, This past Saturday, my phone started showing “moisture detected in USB port/Charger”, and would not charge. I had not been near any water or had water on it. Although, all year I use it when it rains sometimes, but not in the last two weeks. I decided to wait a bit and charge it again that same day. A blue screen with “Download Target” popped up and remained on the screen till I restarted the phone. After doing this, the phone started charging. It worked for almost half a day and stopped charging again. It repeated the blue screen two more times and worked after every event. Later on, it just charged and stopped charging alternatively without the blue screen. I was not at home when this occurred and had no access to rice. Once I got home, I put it in rice for 2 days and it still isn’t charging. Additionally, I looked into the same card slot at the white paper thing with xxx. Mine is still white, indicating no water damage, based on your other articles. Do you know of any other things to do to get it working? Please let me know. Thank you.
Solution: It’s very likely that this problem is caused by some software glitch. What you should do first right now since you placed the phone in rice is to make sure that the charging port is free of any debris. Clean the port using a can of compressed air then try charging it again. If it doesn’t charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger that have been tested to work on another device. In case the phone still does not charge then proceed with the steps listed below.
- Try starting your phone in Safe Mode. If you are able to access this mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data.
- Start the phone in recovery mode then wipe it cache partition.
- Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data.
If your phone still does not charge after performing the steps listed above then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by some hardware issue.
S7 Edge Not Turning On With Battery Charge Left
Problem: so my samsung galaxy s7 edge was at 33% battery i clicked on snapchat and then my phone just turned off on its own since that moment i can’t turn it on even i tried resetting it can you please help me
Solution: What you will want to do in this particular case is to perform a simulated battery pull first. This is done by pressing and holding both the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If your phone does not restart after this then perform the steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris that might be stuck in this port is removed.
- Charge your phone for at least 20 minutes then turn on the phone.
- If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
In case the above steps doesn’t fix the problem then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Emergency Calls Only Error
Problem: Samsung Galaxy s7 edge is saying “emergency calls only”. Service will come and go throughout the day. It is a factory broken phone. Have attempted to remove and reinstall sim with no luck to fixing this issue.
Solution: When your phone is showing emergency calls only this means that is not getting any signal from the network. What you will want to do first is to check if the problem is network or SIM card related. Check if another device under the same network as your phone is having the same problem as this could be an indication that the network service is down. You should also try removing the SIM card of your phone and insert it in another device. This way you will be able to check if the SIM is working.
Once you have eliminated the network and the SIM card as a possible cause to this problem then next step is to check the phone. Right now the best thing that you can do is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset to determine if the problem is caused by a software glitch.

S7 Edge Screen Is Off Blue LED Blinking
Problem: Hi guys my problem is my phone is stuck and it is not restarting again the screen is off and the blue indicator light just blinks and nothing happens for the last 2 hours i don’t know what to do , plzzz tell me i’m very worried , i tried to press the power key and volume keys at the same time and other keys but nothing happen plzz tell me
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it first then perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If it doesn’t then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes then try turning on the phone.
- If the phone does not turn on then try starting it in recovery mode. From here I recommend that you do a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Unfortunately My Files Has Stopped
Problem: Hi…I recently had a software update on my samsung s7 edge. Now I cannot open my files at all to see my downloads or music etc. I click on the icon, and it just says ‘My files has stopped’. Then it gives me 2 options, open app again and or send feedback. Can you please assist
Solution: For this particular issue all you need to do is to clear the cache and data of the My Files app from the application manager. In case the issue still occurs after performing this step then you should do a factory reset since this issue occured right after a software update. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
