S6 Takes 7-8 Hours To Charge

Problem: Hey there I’m having a problem with my s6(not a edge),I dont know whats the average charging time of a s6 normally, but my phone takes 7-8 hours to charge on normal slow charge(i.e not using the fast charge option). Sometimes i go sleep at 9pm and wake up at 4am and the battery is still not full.I try using the fast charging as less as possible, because i heard it weakens the battery dramatically, so i try avoiding it.Any help on what could be the issue? Please reply with some help. I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to isolate the charger to check if this is causing the problem. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to properly do this.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed as it can cause charging issues.
  • Try using a different charging cord first.
  • Try using a different wall charger.

If the issue still occurs after performing the steps listed above then the next step is to check if the phone software is causing the problem.

  • Try charging your phone when it is running in Safe Mode. If the issue doesn’t occur then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try doing a factory reset if the above step doesn’t fix the problem. Make sure to backup your phone data first.

Should the issue still remain then you have to bring your phone to a service center and have the battery checked.

S6 Will Not Charge

Problem: Hi,  So my Samsung Galaxy S6 will not charge on the cord. Just last night I plugged it in to charge it and it worked fine, but when i went to plug it in again, nothing. I tried plugging my phone into 3 other chargers and 2 other wall outlets. However when i plug the charger cord into my phone charger pad that I bought with the phone and then place my charger on top of the pad it charges just fine. 2 days ago my phone fell out of my pocket and into the snow but i quickly wiped it off and it was fine. and charged 2 nights in a row just fine. What’s wrong?

Solution: There could be an issue with the charging port of your phone. Try cleaning this port using a can of compressed air making sure that any dirt or debris present in this port is removed. Once this is done try charging your phone again using different charging cords and wall chargers if needed. If the issue still remains then it’s possible that the snow might have damaged the charging port assembly. I’d recommend that you have this checked at a service center.

S6 not turning On After Charging

Problem: Can you help me with this…  My phone was turned off, then placed to charge. Got to 100% but would not turn on, and now it is not even being able to charge again. What can I do to get it to work again?

Solution: For this particular issue you will need to first try to do a simulated battery pull. To do this just press and hold both the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If your phone doesn’t restart then try charging it for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and charger. If the phone still does not turn on then I suggest that you bring this to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Will Not Reboot

Problem: My Samsung galaxy s6 won’t reboot screen is black i hold the power button and volume down key and also tried to hold the home button screen while holding the power and volume up key still see a black screen. Can someone please help !??

Related Problem: I have a Galaxy S6 that doesn’t respond to anything. No light when charging both plugged in or on wireless charger. Will not power on, no response to the power button/volume button reset. Please help!

Solution: For this issue you will need to make sure first that the battery has enough charge to power the phone. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone making sure to remove dirt or debris present in it.
  • Try charging the phone for a least 20 minutes using a different charging cord.
  • If the phone doesn’t respond to charging then try using a different wall charger.
  • If you have a wireless charger then try charging your phone wirelessly.
  • Perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding the power and volume down button for at least 20 minutes. Your phone should restart after this.

If the issue still remains then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Charges Very Slow After Software Update

Problem: Ever since I did the latest update, my phone charges extremely slow and sometimes not at all. Also, websites and videos load a lot slower. The soft reset didn’t help. I don’t know what to do.

Solution: Try to check first if the charger is causing this issue by doing the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Try cleaning the charging port of your phone first using a can of compressed air then check if the charging speed improves.
  • Replace the charging cord that you are using.
  • Try using a different wall charger.

If the issue still remains then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This will remove any old software data that has not been removed during the update process and is most likely the cause of this problem.

S6 Turns Off When Taken Off Charger

Problem: Every time I take my phone off of charge it, will shut off. It was doing fine until it was sent in for a new battery. Ever since I got it back, it will not power on unless it is plugged into the charger. It is a galaxy s6

Solution: This problem could either be caused by a faulty battery or a defective power IC. I’d recommend that you have this checked at a service center.

S6 Battery Draining Quickly

Problem: Hello I am an s6 user. From past week onwards i have a notice that my s6 is draining to quickly. My phone does not last for more than 4 hrs. Will battery replacement solve my issue .if it does solve the problem than how much will it cost? Forgot to mention but i am an heavy user of s6. I hope you will help me out with my problem. Thanks for help

Solution: What you will need to do first in this case is to check if the phone software is causing the problem. Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete don’t install anything in your phone yet. Try to check first if the battery still drains quickly. If it does then you will need to have the battery replaced. The average price for the battery of this device is $15 for expect to pay more than this amount if you will let a service center handle the replacement.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Overheating Battery Drains Fast Issue & Other Related Problems

The #Samsung #Galaxy #S6 is one of the flagship models of the South Korean giant that’s primarily made of glass and metal. In fact, its design is a radical change from its predecessor which is the S5. This phone has several outstanding features such as a powerful Exynos 742 processor, 3GB RAM, a 16MP camera, and a 2550 mAh battery among others. Some of its drawbacks include a lack of a microSD card slot and no waterproofing. Although this phone is being used by a lot of people as their reliable daily driver there are instances when certain issues can occur on the device which is what we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy S6 overheating battery drains fast issue & other related problems.

S6 Overheating Battery Drains Fast

Problem: Hi I’ve been having issues with my phone charging. It had been overheating last week and I would just turn it off to cool it down. I have a turbo charger and my phone charged great but for the past two days it barely gets to a full charge unless its plugged in all night. The battery has been draining very fast, I’ll be on facebook or Two Dots for five minutes and it will go down 15-20%. I’ve tried restarting it multiple times and it doesn’t help. The week before it began overheating I did a factory reset as well and changed the cord on the turbocharger as a just incase.

Solution: The problem of a phone that is overheating and having battery drain issues is usually caused by a bad battery. Since you have already done a factory reset which eliminates the possibility of the problem being caused by a glitch in the phone software then you should consider having the battery checked at a service center.

I also suggest that you replace the charger that you are using as this might be causing the battery to overheat and drain quickly. I recommend that you use an original Samsung charger for your phone as this has been designed for use with this device.

S6 Not Turning On After Charging

Problem: Good morning, My samsung s6 ran out of battery last night.. so put it on change when going to bed. When I woke at 5am I clicked the home button and the indicator came up saying 90%. I want to the toilet and came back to turn it on and it wouldn’t respond. I then tried to charge it again and it didn’t show as charging (no LED). I tried diffrent button press combos but nothing… all that is happening is that the phone is getting warm around the power in button. I’m worried mainly as my phone has all my child’s photos on from when he was born… any help would be really appreciated. Thank you Andrew

Solution: For this particular issue you should try to simulate a battery pull first by pressing and holding both the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should reboot after this. If you are still not getting any response from your phone then try cleaning the charging port of the device using a can of compressed air. Once this is done try charging your phone using a different USB cord that is known to work. You should also check if the phone charges from a computer USB port.

If the phone still does not turn on then you will have to bring this to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Goes To Sleep Mode When Charging

Problem: As of yesterday when I connect my phone to a charger it puts the phone into sleep mode and silences everything and gives an option to turn the ringer on. prior to this I would not get any messages when charging and the phone would stay on vibrant. I have looked in settings and can not find anyway to disable this feature.

Solution: Several of other owners of this device have also been experiencing this issue recently. It appears to have occurred just after the phone got a software update. Do you have the Peel Remote app installed in your phone? It’s very likely that this app is causing the problem. Try to disable this app then check if the issue still occurs.

S6 Overheating Error After Phone Got Wet

Problem: Hello, i accidentally drop my cellphone in the toilet. Bit i took it instantly. The problem is that i turned It on at that moment and It did turn on but 2 seconds passed and It showed a message of overheating and It turned off. I put It in Rice but after 2 weeks It is the same

Solution: If placing your phone in rice doesn’t fix the problem then chances are the phone has suffered some water damage. The battery might have short circuited or some internal component of the phone got damaged. To determine the exact component that is failing to work you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Does Not Charge

Problem: My phone died. Now it wont charge. It turns on when plugged in and says it is charging, but it doesn’t go any higher than 0 percent. I’ve tried different chargers and outlets.

Solution: Try using a different charging cord when charging the phone. If the issue still persists then the problem could be caused by a faulty battery. Since this phone has a non user removable battery then I suggest you bring this device to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Screen Won’t Turn On

Problem: My phone screen won’t turn on. The phone screen is staying black but the blue LED light is on in the corner of my phone. But I tried everything and it won’t turn on.

Solution: The first thing that you should do in this case is to make sure that the battery has sufficient charge. Try charging your phone first for at least 20 minutes. Once this is done proceed with a simulated battery pull. This is done by simultaneously pressing and holding both the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.

If the phone remains unresponsive then check if it is able to start in recovery mode. If the phone starts in this mode then consider doing a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then I suggest that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Not Charging Properly

Problem: i am having the issue of my samsung s6 not charging properly and it said something about power sharing written when issue started on device. also every now and then screen will go black and have a small white x in corner for like 3 seconds and then it goes away and all looks normal but phone still wont charge properly.  if i power it off it will then charge fine no issues when phone is off.  power it back on it charges when it wants to or wont charge at all.  Fast charging doesn’t work at all either.  i soft reset it, hard reset it, wipe clean and factory reset it, and even recalibrated battery via a application downloaded off play store.  any other suggestions to resolve this nightmare.  phone is less than 1 month old but metro pcs won’t warranty it because it has a tiny scuff on corner

Solution: Since you have already performed most of the troubleshooting steps for this particular issue which still doesn’t fix the problem then this could either be caused by a defective charging port assembly or a busted power IC. You will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

S6 Has Warning Of Custom OS

Problem:  My phone wont switch off and has the Warning A custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications. How do I correct it?

Solution: The warning message means that your phone is running on a custom software. Try restarting the phone by pressing and holding the power and volume down key for at least 10 seconds. If the issue persists then you should consider flashing the stock firmware back to your phone. Instructions on how to perform this procedure can be found at the Sammobile website where you can also download the firmware.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Charges Slow After Nougat Update Issue & Other Related Problems

One of the weakest links of a smartphone is its battery life. On average you will only get a day’s worth of usage on a single charge for the device until you will need to charge it again. The #Samsung #Galaxy #S6 is one such smartphone that has an amazing spec sheet but then also suffers from the same battery life problems. We have been receiving numerous power related concerns from our readers concerning this device which is why we will tackle the Galaxy S6 charges slow after Nougat update issue & other related problems.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy S6 or any other Android device for that matter then feel free to contact us using this form. S6 Charges Slow After Nougat Update

Problem: Dear All, I am writing to you asked for advice. I am facing problem with my galaxy s6 after nougat update. My phone charge very slow or just stay the same amount of % while am using it (when am using. When I turn off my display it’s starts to charge normally. My charger is fine I checked this. The problem has occurred after to nougat update. I am wondering if it’s normal on nougat update or this is an issue? Have you received the same reports?  I’d be grateful for your answer Best regards

Solution: Several other smartphone owners who have updated their phone have also been suffering from this very same issue. While it’s possible that this could be caused by a software glitch you should first try to check if the charger that you are using is causing the problem by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
  • Try using a different charging cord and wall charger when charging the phone. Make sure that this charger has an output rating of 2A.

If the issue still remains then it’s time to check the phone software.

Sometimes an app aggressively running in the background can affect the charging speed. To check if this is the case you have to start your phone in Safe Mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by a downloaded app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. If this still fails then you have to perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data so make sure to backup your data before doing this.

S6 Only Charges When Pressure Is Applied To Charging Cord

Problem: Hello, I am having issues with my phone charging. The only way it will charge is if I prop it where there is pressure against the plug going into the charging port. I thought maybe it was because I wasn’t using quality chargers, but even after replacing my previous charger with the high quality samsung charger purchased at AT&T, it still won’t charge properly. So it has to be something going on with the charge port on my device, because my husband has the exact same phone, and all of the chargers work fine on his. We aren’t due for an upgrade until Oct, so I need to find out what I should do to resolve the issue until then. What do you suggest? Thank you for your time.

Solution: Have you tried using a different charging cord to charge your phone? If you already have and the issue persists then try cleaning the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in the port is removed. If the issue still remains after this then the charging port might already be damaged. You should have this checked at a service center. If it is found to be damaged then the charging port assembly will have to be replaced.

S6 Battery Drains Very Fast

Problem: Suddenly my battery drains really fast. What’s more, now it doesn’t even charge. It remains on 2%, even though plugged in and the lightning rod inside the battery indicates that it’s charging. It will not go beyond 2%. It was fine until two days ago. I didn’t do a system update or anything like that, at least not that I know of.

Solution: Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to fix this particular problem.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air.
  • Try using a different charging cord and wall charger to charge your phone.
  • Replace the battery with a new one.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.

S6 Not Charging

Problem: My boyfriends phone stopped charging with the cord. We took it to a tech who said it was not the battery but the USB port which is of course is more expensive (according to this store). So we tried a wireless charger. It works on my Samsung S6 (which we both bought on the same day and exact same time) and it charges fine. With his it charges for 2 seconds then the wireless charger goes from green to flashing blue. I’ve been able to turn it back on which it then says unable to charge battery due to overheating. I’ve held it in my hand and it is normal temperature. Is there anyway you can confirm that is the port? It does seem like it’s definitely the battery but I am not the expert by any means but this phone store wasn’t the most legitimate of places. Appreciate your time and thank you for your help!

Solution: What you should do right now is to eliminate some of the factors that can cause this problem so that you can at least narrow down the field of possible suspects that can cause this problem.

  • Try cleaning the charging port using a can of compressed air. This will take out the dirt or debris stuck in the port which could be causing the problem.
  • Try using a different wired charger when charging the phone. Make sure to also use a different charging cord.
  • To eliminate any possible software glitches that could be causing the problem you need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the issue persists and you are still unable to wirelessly charge the phone then the problem could either be caused by a faulty power IC or battery. You will have to bring the phone to a service center to pinpoint the exact cause of this problem.

S6 Does Not Turn On Is Extremely Hot

Problem: Hello Droid Guy. I have had my S6 for almost a year now, 11 months actually. I have never really had any problems with the device charging or turning on. One random morning, the morning of me writing this email, I woke up and reached for my phone. I had to drop the phone immediately because it was extremely hot. I picked up the phone again with caution to find that the device now won’t turn on. I know it was at least at 50% battery life when I went to sleep so it should have had some response when the home button or power button was pressed. I have tried multiple outlets and cables, connecting them to multiple devices, and all have ceased working. Every time I plug the phone in, almost immediately the back-middle of the phone gets very warm and keeps rising in temperature. Is my battery fried? Does it have something to do with the CPU? Is it my charging port? Please get back to me with any ideas on how to fix the problem.

Solution: A phone that gets hot immediately when being charged is a possible sign that a short circuit has occurred inside the phone. The primary suspect in this case will be the battery. However, it is also possible that other components that have been damaged is causing the problem. The best way to deal with this problem right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Not Turning On After Charging

Problem: Hello I have put my S6 on the charger and left it for least n hour. I came to try to turn it on and nothing no charging light comes on and u can’t do a power button n volume when it acts like a dead battery and gets no juice at all to power up. I held power button n volume for least 3-4 mins never did anything . When u plug in power cord it does nothing . This just came out of the blue didn’t fall or anything like that just will not power up . What can I do now is it basically garbage now ??? If so fuck cuz I love this phone and this is first time this has happened and never had any problems with it ever before.

Solution: You should try to simulate a battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If it doesn’t then try charging it again for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger. If the phone still does not turn on after this then you should have this checked at a service center.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Not Turning On After Drop Issue & Other Related Problems

One of the most important things to remember when you own a smartphone is not to drop the device. This is because these phones are not really designed to survive drops from certain heights. The #Samsung #Galaxy #S6 for example which is mostly made of glass and metal will most likely suffer some cosmetic damage if you drop it. Sometimes though if the phone drops from a certain height it can affect the way the device works which is what we will be discussing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy S6 not turning on after drop issue & other related problems.

S6 Not Turning On After Drop

Problem: Hello! I have an issue with my Galaxy S6. I have read through the troubleshooting answers that seem to fit my phone with no avail. My phone slipped off a curb onto the road (not even half a foot drop) and hit the top left corner in an Otterbox case. It stopped working and would not turn on. I took it to get checked out and they thought it was the screen. 3 weeks later I went to get the screen replaced and the new guy said it turned on when plugged in and it was at 88%, the screen works, no pixels damaged so its not the screen. When I took it home and plugged it in, it worked for the first 3 times for about 30 seconds each before switching off. Then it started just turning on and showing charging for 1 second before going dead.  Do you have any recommendations that could be this issue? I attempted to push the power button multiple times per one of your suggestions but it doesn’t change anything.  Thank you so much for you assistance.

Solution: Since we can now rule out the display as a possible cause to this particular problem then this problem could either be caused by a faulty battery or power IC. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have the said components checked.

S6 Takes Too Long To Charge

Problem: Hi there, I have a samsung galaxy s6. Recently I have been having problems when it’s charging it would normally take 1 hour to fully charge now it’s taking up to 5 hours or even 7. I’ve tried different chargers and it’s still the same. What else can I do?

Solution: Your phone should only take a little over an hour to fully charge from a drained state. If it takes 7 hours to fully charge then something is affecting the charging status of the device which we will be checking by following the troubleshooting steps listed below. After performing each step proceed with checking if the issue still occurs and if it does you should proceed to the next step.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure that any dirt or debris stuck in the port is removed.
  • Try charging your phone using a different charging cord.
  • Try using a different wall charger. Make sure that the charger has an output of 2.0A.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset do not install any app yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then your phone might need a new battery. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.

S6 Not Turning On After Charging

Problem: I have a Galaxy s6 and about four days ago, I charged it and after I took it off the phone turned off and I have not been able to turn it back on. I’ve tried pressing all these different buttons at once and nothing. I read somewhere that using a different cable to charge it can cause this so perhaps that is the problem. I tried using the original charger but it won’t charge at all.

Related Problem: I have a galaxy s6 gold and i left it to charge overnight and in the morning i woke up and i didn’t turn on. I woke up at night while the phone was charging and it was updating and when i woke up and it didn’t turn on it’s been like 3 months and i’ve used like 3 different chargers and they all won’t work the the galaxy but will work on other phones.

Solution: If you didn’t use the original charging cord to charge your phone then the cord that you used might have caused this problem. Usually, these third party cords ( especially the cheap ones) have low quality and can sometimes damage the device. What you will want to do right now is to press and hold the power and volume down button first for at least 10 seconds. This is a simulated battery pull and your phone should restart after this. If you still get no response from your phone then proceed with the following steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its original charging cord and wall charger.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Battery Draining Quickly And Shutting Off

Problem: Hi I have been having problems with my Samsung galaxy s6. It has been showing my battery is draining really quickly and shutting off and when I turn it back on the battery has dropped by 50% then will shut off again and again

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to check if some software glitch is causing the problem by performing the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the problem occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by one of the apps you downloaded that is aggressively running. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • If the problem still occurs in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as the problem could be caused by a faulty battery that needs to be replaced.

S6 Went Black Not Responding

Problem: Phone went black and won’t respond/turn on at all. it has done this several times over the last couple of months but would always reboot/restart using the volume down and power keys. yesterday it did this several times in a short period and now will do nothing. please send explosives or a large hammer.. thanks for your time

Related Problem: my husband has a galaxy s6 that we got in February and today our daughter was playing a game on the phone and then it went to a black screen..I tried to shut it off, restarting it with the volume up key, home key and power key all pressed down…it shows the key lights but no display on the screen, the screen stays black…how could this be fixed?

Solution: What you should do first in this case is to charge the phone as the battery might be drained which is why it will not turn on. Follow the steps listed below for the procedure to charge your phone.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air.
  • Charge your phone for at least 20 minutes using a charging cord and wall charger that’s tested to work on another device.

If you still get no response from your phone then try simulating a battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Not Turning On After Getting Wet

Problem: S6 fell in water and it came on as normal screen everything was working it was charging as well and I left it in a bag of rice overnight after I replaced the battery it charged to 4% it just cut off and did not come on

Solution: It appears that some component inside the phone has been water damaged, possibly the power IC. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Not Turning On After Getting Wet

Problem: Three days ago I dropped my phone by accident in water. I immediately removed it when I noticed it was in there and attempted to dry it off. I attempted to turn off the phone by holding the power button on the side but the screen started to glitch and then went blank and I was unable to properly turn it off. The phone continued to have the service light on flashing blue to indicate that I had notifications coming in. I attempted to again turn off the phone by pressing and holding the side power button it seemed to have worked because the lights did go off. I immediately put it into rice to try and wick out all of the moisture in it. The phone was in rice for three days and finally I removed it and attempted to power it back on and it did not work. I plugged it into one of my chargers and it was unresponsive. I am wondering if you have any advice as to how to get the device to turn back on. There are a lot of Irreplaceable photos on my phone that had not been backed up. I don’t care about the device I just want to get the photos off. I don’t know what version of software I have on my phone it’s a Samsung Galaxy S6 that was purchased in 2015 with all of its updates and all of the software updates up-to-date.

Related Problem: My phone got wet from the rain. I tried to dry it 12 hrs by putting rice. It turned on but whenever I charge it, it’s turning off. I tried to put it back on the rice, it turned on again. Now I can’t use it at all, not even charging and it overheat. What should I do?

Solution: Water is the biggest enemy of electronic devices. This is especially true if the device is on and gets wet since it will most likely cause some internal components to get shorted. When your phone comes into contact with water the best thing to do is to switch it off then dry it. Wipe the exterior of the phone first then once it is dry place it in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours to absorb the moisture inside the device. This is actually what you did which is good. Now unfortunately the phone does not turn on which means that some component has been water damaged. You won’t be able to recover any of your phone data if your phone is in this state. What you need to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. If the problem is caused by a damaged battery then have this battery replaced. If it is caused by any other component then have the component replaced. Once the defective component is replaced you will be able to turn on your phone and gain access to your data.

S6 Not Turning On After Charging

Problem: My galaxy s6 was charging and now wont come on it just blinks on and off the samsung galaxy s6 screen and then when i took it off the charger it shuts completely down and will not power on at all.

Solution: Here’s what you need to do in this particular case. First clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. Next, charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its charger. What you will want to do is to make sure that the battery has sufficient charge. Disconnect the phone from its charger then do a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Normally, your phone should restart after this. If the issue remains then try to start the phone in recovery mode. From here you should do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

Should the above troubleshooting steps fail to fix the problem then you need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Gets Very Hot Will Not hold A Charge

Problem: my phone gets very hot and will not hold a charge . I have not been able to find any help with this . in the meantime I will try your suggestion of a soft reset to see if that helps

Solution: If your phone gets hot then this could be caused by an app that is aggressively running in the background. To check if a downloaded app is causing this problem you should start your phone in Safe Mode. Is your phone still getting hot in this mode? If it isn’t then the problem is most likely caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset do not install anything in your phone just yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this could be caused by a hardware problem. You will then need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

S6 Not Charging Or Turning On

Problem: My New Samsung S6 won’t charge or came on. The only life I see is a small blue light every once in awhile come at the front top left of the phone.

Solution: For this particular issue you should try charging your phone first for at least 20 minutes. Once this is done disconnect the phone from its charger then do a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. If your phone does not restart after this step then try to check if you can start the phone in recovery mode. From here you will need to do  a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

Should the above troubleshooting steps fail to fix the problem then you will need to have your phone checked at a service center.

S6 Will Not Turn On

Problem: My galaxy S6 will not turn on. It will only turn on when it is on the charger but then shuts off. I tried everything yet it still will not come on.

Solution: Try cleaning the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air then charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger. Try to turn on the phone after this. If it still does not turn on then disconnect it from its charger then simulate a battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. If the issue remains then this could be a hardware problem already possibly caused by a faulty battery. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Black Screen After Phone Got Dropped

Problem: I dropped the phone screen down and it cracked the screen. Screen is black but lcd light is pulsing. Will I be able to get it turned back on

Solution: Since the phone screen already has a crack then the best thing you can do right now to fix this is to have the display assembly of your phone replaced at a service center.
