S6 Edge+ Turned Off During Software Update
Problem: hi,i have galaxy S6 edge plus , i tried to update firmware and during process phone turned off, now its giving error about software and giving error to connect phone with smart switch for emergency recover but when i try that it’s telling me custom binary blocked FRP lock on so please advice me how to turn off FRP lock without that i can’t do anything wont turning on it just stop on screen as recovery mode, any advice will be highly appreciated thanks
Solution: Try to check if you are able to access the download mode from your phone. If you can access this mode then you should consider flashing your phone with its updated firmware file. Take note that any data you have stored in the phone will be erased during this process. You can download the firmware file of your phone from the Sammobile website. This is also where you can find the instructions on how to flash your phone.
S6 Edge+ Boot Loop
Problem: Hi i am facing boot loop issue on my samsung s6 edge plus G928I .. it was repeatedly stuck on samsung logo. tried ODIN kies etc. nothing help.. tried to flash using recovery it says FRP lock.. kindly help me out
Solution: Since flashing the phone with Odin fails to fix the problem this problem could already be caused by a faulty hardware component. You will have to bring this to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge+ Can’t Go Online Using 4G Network
Problem: i have an s6 edge plus from Tmobile, my issue is that i cannot browse due to the 4g network it came with. if i try to switch to 3g/2g, it will still show 4g. ive gone to my network providers did a sim card upgrade to 4g still the same issue persist. is there a way the 4g can be disconnected so i can use 3g on it if not what will i do.
Solution: Is this phone an original T-Mobile device or was this phone unlocked for use in the T-Mobile network? If it was unlocked then its software might not be optimized to run on T-Mobile which is why you are unable to go online using the 4G network.
In case this is a phone that came from T-Mobile then what you will want to do first is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is done check if the phone is using the correct APN settings.
For T-Mobile the APN settings are as follows.
- Name: T-Mobile US LTE
- APN: fast.t-mobile.com
- Proxy: <Not set>
- Port: <Not set>
- Username: <Not set>
- Password: <Not set>
- Server: <Not set>
- MMSC: https://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
- Multimedia message proxy: <Not set>
- Multimedia message port: <Not set>
- MCC: 310
- MNC: 260
- Authentication type: None
- APN type: default, mms, supl
- APN protocol: IPv6
- APN roaming protocol: IPv4
- Turn APN on/off: APN turned on
- Bearer: Unspecified
- Mobile virtual network operator type: None
- Mobile virtual network operator value: <Not set>
Are you now able to go online right now using a 4G network? If not then try switching the network mode to 3G.
If the problem persists then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge+ Screen Becomes Active On Certain Time
Problem: Screen becomes active and stays active between the hours of 9pm and 6am. At no other time can I get the screen to wake. At no other time does the clock and notifications show.
Solution: What you should do first in this case is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem. To do this just start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while downloaded apps are prevented from running. Does the issue occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it is most likely caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
In case the issue occurs in Safe Mode then I recommend that you do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data so make sure to backup your data before doing this.
S6 Edge+ Randomly Turns Off When In Pocket
Problem: Galaxy S6 Edge + continuously shuts off but, only when carried in my pocket. Have to manually turn back on. If phone is kept out of pocket there are no issues. It has a cover on the phone and will act the same if it’s removed.
Solution: This is very likely a hardware related issue already possibly caused by a loose power button connection or a loose battery connection. When the phone is inside your pocket the tendency is that it moves around a lot. This movement might be triggering the phone to turn off due to some loose connection. What you will want to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge+ Not Charging Or Turning On
Problem: my samsung galaxy s6 edge plus won’t charge. My phone is totally power off. I clean my phone with tooth brush the charging port of my phone is looking right . no charger are work and my phone did not fall from me so it does not face physical problem. plzz tell me what should i do
Solution: If you have already made sure that the charging port is free from any dirt or debris and that you have also tried using different chargers and charging cords then the problem could either be caused by a component that is failing to work which could be the battery, power IC or the charging port. What you will want to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge+ Stuck In Boot Loop After Root
Problem: My samsung galaxy edge plus got stuck during root with Odin. I turned off the phone and it got stuck on boot (boot loop). I am running android 7.0 on SM-g928c
Solution: It’s very likely that the rooting procedure has corrupted the phone software. What you will want to do in this case is to flash the phone with its updated firmware file to fix the problem.
