Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Not Turning On Unless Plugged To Charger Issue & Other Related Problems

The #Samsung #Galaxy #S6EdgePlus is in many ways similar to the S6 Edge. It’s main difference is that it uses a much larger display. To be precise, the phone uses a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display. While this might not be a huge display today, it was back in 2015 when the phone was released. Some of the other outstanding features of this phone include its octa core processor combined with 4GB of RAM, 16MP camera, and its 3000mah battery just to name a few. Although this is a solid performing device there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus not turning on unless plugged to charger issue & other related problems.

S6 Edge Plus Not Turning On Unless Plugged To Charger

Problem: My samsung galaxy s6 edge plus does not turn on unless it is plugged in. When it does turn on when plugged in, it goes to an “installing update” screen and then immediately goes to the “No Command” screen. From there I tried many button combinations but none of the methods seem to work and the phone just restarts and goes through the whole loop process again.

Solution: There are two issues that are affecting your phone right now. The first one is the power problem where the phone does not turn on if not connected to its charger. The seconds is the no command issue when the phone is turned on.

The first issue is usually caused by a bad battery or faulty power IC. for this case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

For the second issue it is most likely caused by a corrupt phone software. You can fix this by starting the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

S6 Edge Plus Randomly Restarts

Problem: my samsung 6 edge plus always restart in its own. in a day it restarts more or less 20x. i cannot do soft reset since it’s battery is not easy to remove.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is completed do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try checking first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.

S6 Edge plus Keeps Playing Low Battery Notification Sound

Problem: My Samsung s6 edge plus keeps playing the low battery notification sound, even though it’s at 80%. Tried plugging it in to charge but it is still playing the low battery notification every 3 minutes.

Solution: Try checking first if this issue is caused by an app you installed by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by a downloaded app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the problem occurs even in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the issue still occurs even after the reset then I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Plus Randomly Shutting Off

Problem: Hi. I bought my phone about a year ago and a few weeks ago I started having problems with it randomly shutting off and it won’t restart until after I remove and then replace the battery. I’ve read forums that suggested a soft reset, clearing the cache, doing a factory reset and trying safe mode, and if none of those work buying a new battery. I’ve done all those, and even with a new battery I’m still having problems. It doesn’t seem to be as bad as before. But it will still shut off on it’s own at least once a day. Sometimes it will restart on its own, but sometimes it just shuts off and wont restart until I remove the battery and put the battery back in. Often, when I try to restart my phone of my own choice, it will only shut down and will not turn back on. The phone kept freezing and shutting down just after getting the new battery in, but it was happening while all the apps were updating, after doing a factory reset. I tried a factory reset twice because the phone was still buggy even after getting a brand new battery. So I did a factory reset before the new battery, and after putting in the new battery. I stopped all the automatic downloads that were going on  because of the factory reset, and I think that helped. It’s not shutting off or freezing nearly as often as it was before the new battery, or when all the app were downloading. However, it will still shut down on its own at least once every day. I wasn’t having any problems like this at all just a few weeks ago. I was really hoping it was the battery. Any other suggestions on what it could be? Thank you so much for your help!

Solution: It appears that the problem is already caused by a faulty power IC. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have the power IC checked and possibly replaced with a new one.

S6 Edge Plus Can’t Access Google Play Store

Problem: It will not let me get into the play store without having an issue. When I go into the play store it says “item not found” and gives error messages. I tried to uninstall the update for the app and it’ll let me go into the old google play (with the white shopping bag icon) and then it’ll close itself out and stop the app, then re-update to a modern version. My family has the same phone and they can get apps and everything is fine, so I have no idea why I can’t get into the store on my phone or download apps. If there’s any way you can help me I’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to check if the phone has any software updates available and if there are you should update your phone accordingly. In case your phone is already running on the latest software update and the issue persists then this might already be caused by a software glitch in which case you will have to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S6 Edge Plus Not Starting If It Is Too Cold

Problem: Hi. you are doing great work….i am facing an issue while using my phone…here weather is about 8-10 centigrade during night. my phone work properly in day. when i went to bed for sleep after placing my cell phone on table…when i got up and want to  start my phone by pressing  menu button or power button. it did not started. but when i attached it with charger for start working properly. Please reply about issue. Thanks

Solution: Your phone has an optimum working temperature range where it performs normally. When the temperature is outside of this range certain problems can occur in the device. While your phone should be able to withstand a 10 degree temperature if the battery of the phone is already faulty then a drop in temperature will affect its performance and cause this particular issue.  You can fix this problem by either making sure that the phone stays at room temperature conditions. You can also bring the phone to a service center and have the battery replaced.

S6 Edge Plus Weak Network Coverage

Problem: I have the AT&T Samsung S6 Edge Plus through straight talk. My signal is terrible and my Internet speed is worse. In my house I most of the time it says emergency calls only or 0 bars. I’ve called Straight talk multiple times about this issue. They sent me a new sims card and now it’s way worse. I’ve called and they checked to see if where I live is in a coverage area and it is. Please tell me how to fix this issue. It’s so frustrating not having signal when I pay for the $55 unlimited plan. I’ve done the soft reset and factory reset to try and fix this issue.

Solution: Try checking if your phone gets a good signal reception when you go to other locations. If it does then the signal might not be strong in your house due to some interference. In case the issue remains even if you are in different locations then the problem could be caused by a faulty phone antenna. I suggest that you have this checked at a service center.
