S6 Edge Unresponsive Restarting
Problem: Good Evening I had a crazy situation with my s6 edge, and went online and found your website, I tried everything but it did not help. My phone has been working good since about June 2015, so it is over the 1 year manufacturing warranty unfortunately, but I have not had any issues prior. So what happened was I was using snapchat and I opened my voicemail, snapchat was just on the screen, I was not sending or receiving anything, I open voicemail and phone gets unresponsive for a moment and then phone restarts, i think nothing of it, thought maybe it crashed it will restart and be alright. it restarted but phone was at 4% now from 34 right before, but i thought whatever the crash probably used up a lot of energy. then it restarted again and again, and then screen went black and led went blue, and did this for a bit, and phone started heating up a lot, very hot , could barely hold it now. I thought it was going to explode that is how hot it got. I let it be for a bit, and then threw it on charge. after 10/15 min i checked it, and it turned on and then froze again and got very hot again. Next thing you know screen goes black , led is on, then led is off. So i let it cool down, 30 mins later put it on charge, but got no response, led would not turn on, phone wouldn’t vibrate, no charging signals. I tried hard and soft reset with no luck. Was wondering if you have seen this before. Thanks for your time.
Solution: It looks like this issue is caused by some faulty internal component. Try checking the charging port of your phone for any signs of dirt or debris. Clean this port if necessary using a can of compressed air. Once the port has been cleaned try charging your phone for at least 20 minutes using a different cord and wall charger. You should also check the charging status of your phone while charging it via the USB port of your computer. Try to turn on your phone. If it turns on then I recommend you backup your phone data and do a factory reset. If you are still not getting any response from the phone then I suggest you bring this to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Unable to Update Software
Problem: Whenever I try to update my phone, it says “checking for updates”. Then about 5 or so seconds later, it says “Unable to update software. A network or server error occured. Try again later.” I’ve been trying to get the new update for some time now and thought it would happen automatically. But so far it hasn’t been working for me on my Galaxy s6 edge. PLEASE HELP!
Solution: Since the error points out to a network issue I recommend you try checking for the update using when your phone is connected to a different Wi-Fi network. You should also try checking for the update by using your mobile data subscription.
If the issue persists you should do the following troubleshooting steps listed below. Move to the next step if the phone doesn’t get the software update.
- Connect your phone using a USB cord to a computer then use the Smart Switch software to update your phone.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Check for the update using the OTA method or by using Smart Switch.
If the above steps don’t work then you should consider manually flashing the updated firmware file to your phone. Instructions on how to do this can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.
S6 Edge Randomly Restarts
Problem: I have a samsung s6 edge and it’s Once in a day or so goes to home screen after update immediately after 10sec its restarts again..I have tried all methods which you have put to troubleshoot the device..but nothing worked out for me..then i even flash and downloaded the firmware from odin and even then my device didn’t get fixed..I hope you have a 100% solution for me..coz i want it quickly as i spent enough and more time doing this..hope for a quick and accurate answer..i don’t know whether it’s a hardware issue..so plz help??
Solution: Since you already performed a factory reset and even flashed the phone firmware then it’s very unlikely that this is a software issue. This could already be a hardware problem caused by an internal component that’s failing to work. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Not Booting Up After Rooting
Problem: Alright, I was trying to root my device. I flashed the firmware onto my device, and it said successful, and it only boots up to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge – Powered by Android screen. I tried to put it in recovery mode, and it will not go, and I tried flashing the stock system back onto it, and it says SW REV. CHECK FAIL DEVICE 4 BINARY 2, I do not know what to do. NOW, my computer isn’t even recognizing that I have it hooked up, so I can even try using ODIN to flash new firmware on it. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Marshmallow 6.1 <—I think! Bell Mobility Edmonton Alberta PLEASE HELP ME FIX THIS! I am not an expert by all means when it comes to computers or my phone.
Solution: What I can suggest you do in this case is to first make sure that the phone is fully charged. Next, download another stock firmware file for your device. Make sure that the file you downloaded is intended for your specific phone model. Flash this file again to your phone. Use a different USB cord, USB port, or even different computer if your phone isn’t recognized by your computer.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then I suggest you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Unauthorized Actions Have Been Detected
Problem: hi i’m having issues with my samsung galaxy s6 edge it keeps coming up with a notification saying unauthorized actions have been detected and it keeps poping up every 5 minutes it’s getting really annoying now please please can use help me as i can’t plug it into a computer and cant update phone software as everytime i scan for updates it says unauthorized actions
Solution: If you are getting the unauthorized actions have been detected error message on your phone then it could mean that
- You have installed a malicious app that is trying to modify the phone software
- You might have modified or removed a system file accidentally.
Restarting the phone usually helps in this case. If the problem persists then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S6 Edge Google Account Login Loop
Problem: My phone is stuck in a Google loop. I put in the right google account and password from before I reset it and it says, “please sign in with the owners account for this device then goes right back to enter your Google account. It also has an option to help find the account using my phone number and name which brings up the same google account takes the password then once again says sign in with owner’s account.
Solution: you will need to sign in to the phone with the previous Google account that was used. Sometimes you will get locked out of the phone for 72 hours before you can try to log in again. If the problem persists you will need to contact the Samsung technical support team regarding this matter.
