We’ve seen online retailers occasionally holding discounts on the #HTC #RECamera before. And now, Groupon has joined in on the fun by selling the handy portable camera for just $99.99. This is a brand new unit of the camera and comes with an 8GB microSD card as well. The RE Camera comes with WiFi connectivity by default, so you can share images and videos wirelessly whenever the internal storage is getting too crowded.
The RE comes with a 16-megapixel sensor and is capable of shooting 1 hours and 50 minutes of 1080p video on a full battery. That’s quite impressive for something that’s supposed to be a portable camera. HTC hasn’t exactly taken the markets by storm with the RE Camera, but has previously mentioned that if this model shows any promise, then there could be another one on the way.
We’re not sure how long this price will stay, so we suggest you hurry up and snatch the deal while you still can. This camera will be a decent accessory for your outdoor picnic trips and pool parties, especially since it’s resistant to water and has a very unique periscope like design.

HTC’s tiny little action camera, known as the RE Camera is now on sale via Best Buy. This handy little water resistant camera can be snatched up for just $99.99 courtesy of this new deal. The camera usually sells for about $200, so this is a flat 50% discount on the asking price.
As a bonus, the retailer is also giving away the Shutterfly 8 X 8 Photo Book along with the purchase of the RE Camera, so you are getting a very good deal for the price here.
If you’re new to the concept of the HTC RE Camera, it comes with a 16-megapixel sensor and can be used to take videos or pictures. Storage can be expanded via microSD and images/videos can be shared wirelessly over WiFi, which is a convenient feature to have given the lack of a viewfinder on the device.
You can’t expect an insane amount of clarity from the images and videos taken on the RE Camera as it’s supposed to be an action camera, but for the price being quoted here, it seems to be well worth it.

As part of the upcoming Father’s Day and Graduation Day celebrations, HTC has decided to make full use of the opportunity by offering the RE Camera with a $50 discount and a wide range of other accessories with a flat 50% off if you’re getting three or more items.
This includes cases, screen guards etc. The caveat here is that the discount won’t apply if you’re only getting one accessory, so make sure you’re getting a whole bunch of them if you want to be eligible for this promotion.
With the $50 discount on the RE Camera, the device can be yours for just $149, which is a very good deal on the device. Both promotions are valid from today until the 22nd of June, so you have plenty of time to get them, assuming stocks don’t run out by then. The HTC RE Camera accessory which broke cover last year can now be yours for just $150 as part of the company’s Mother’s Day deal. The accessory usually retails for $199, so this is a very good deal on the device.
The RE Camera can be used for capturing videos during your picnics or adventures. The fact that it’s water resistant makes for an excellent combination as well.
The device hasn’t exactly flown off the shelves since it was launched last year, but it is still a very interesting accessory to own. The manufacturer touted it to be a GoPro competitor when it was first revealed, but it hasn’t exactly worked out that way.
It was said that the company will decide on launching a second gen RE Camera depending on the success of the current model. While it’s still too early to tell if there will be one, it goes without saying that HTC will certainly give it a go. Hit the link below for more details on the deal.
The HTC RE Camera is available for a throwaway price courtesy of Best Buy. The camera which usually sells for about $199.99, is now available for just $99.99 from the retailer’s website.

It is capable of taking both photos and videos, with even slow-mo video capture on offer. All data is stored on a microSD card slot, so you can add more storage if need be.
Thanks to a recent update by HTC, the camera can also livestream videos to YouTube. The company has received some positive response for the RE Camera, although adoption is nowhere near where the company wants it to be. If you’ve been on the fence about getting this one, the price reduction should convince you of its potential.
We have to remind you yet again that this price is only valid for one day, so there’s every likelihood that the RE Camera will go back to its old pricing again. Head over to the link below to get the RE Camera at the discounted price.

HTC unveiled the RE Camera in October last year to mixed response from fans and critics alike. The device has now received the ability to start live streams directly on YouTube, letting the world watch through the eyes of your RE Camera. HTC announced the feature at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show. The feature will make its way to the RE Camera with an update to the RE app. Customers using the RE Camera with an iOS device will have to wait until the end of Q1 to get the update.
Hosting a live stream is pretty easy and can be done by following the steps on the app. If you’re not able to watch the live stream for some reason, you can always catch the video in its entirety which gets automatically saved after the stream has ended. The RE Camera is currently available in the U.S. for a price of $199.99. If you’ve been on the fence about getting the device, this new feature might change your mind.
Speaking to a Taiwanese news outlet, President of HTC North Asia, Jack Tong mentioned that the company will be looking to launch a second generation model of the RE Camera next year targeting the “mass consumer market”. There’s not enough clarity on what this particular model will offer as far as features are concerned, but we can expect it to be drastically improved from the predecessor.
Tong said that the company will gauge the public’s interest in the RE Camera as it reaches the Taiwan markets tomorrow. The company reportedly aims to sell the accessory to at least 5 percent of the 8 million smartphone users in the region in order to bring out a successor next year.
Customers have been asking for the OIS feature on the RE Camera, so we might see that implemented with the next gen model. The device was launched as a GoPro competitor, targeting the outdoorsy customers. It is water resistant, which makes it suitable for your weekly camping trips as well.
