Note 5 Not Registered On Network Error
Problem: I bought this Note 5 as a second hand from the market. It was running on marshmallow and it was 100% fine. I tried to update it through odin to Nougat. Unfortunately I lost cellular connection. I can neither call nor text, I keep on getting not registered on network error.I can also search for network operators it says error.I wiped cache partition and factory reset but still no cellular connection. If I put the line in another phone it works fine. I also checked if my imei is blacklisted but it isn’t so I think the problem is due to the update. My device type is SM-N920C. Please help!
Solution: The problem could be caused by the firmware file which you flashed on your phone. What you need to do right now is to download another firmware file. You can get this file from the Sammobile website. Make sure that the firmware file you download is intended for the specific Note 5 model number that you have. The instructions on how to flash your phone are provided in this website as well.

Problem: I don’t know the pin to my note 5 and I can’t access it. I also don’t have location turned on. please help and willing to pay to get this taking care of. I have all the information and owner of the phone
Solution: A PIN code is one security feature that prevents any unauthorized access to your phone. If you forgot the PIN of the device then you will get locked out. If you forgot the PIN code then there are several methods that you can perform to fix this problem.
If your phone is running on Android 5 and above then you can use the Find My Device feature.

- Select the correct device by clicking its icon and name in the upper-left corner of the page.
- Click the Lock option on the left.
- You’ll be prompted to enter a new password and confirm it. Make sure that you remember the password you choose.
- Now you can go back to your Android device and enter your newly-created password to gain access.
If you have created a Samsung account then you can unlock your phone using the Find My Mobile feature.
- Go to the Find My Mobile website from your computer, laptop, or another device and log in with your Samsung account.
- Your current device and phone number should be displayed in the upper-left corner of the page. Gpo to the options on the right side of the page and click Unlock my device.

Note 5 Stopped Charging After Getting Wet
Problem: I got the charging port on my phone wet. I turned it off for 8 hours and then plugged it in. It worked and fully charged it. Later that day, my phone died so I tried charging it. It charged for about 5 minutes then stopped working. I tried cleaning the port but that did not work. I also tried using a different cord.
Solution: If you have access to a wireless charger then try using this to charge your phone. If the phone charges this way then the water might have damaged the charging port of the phone. The best way to proceed in this case is to have the phone checked at a service center.
Note 5 Not Responding To Finger Touch
Problem: Hello, my samsung note 5 touch screen doesn’t respond with my finger touch but it is responding by spen. I have done factory reset and reboot my phone but this problem was not solved. Any help or suggestions to my problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset then it’s very likely that the problem is caused by a faulty digitizer. You need to have this checked at a service center.
Note 5 Crashes After Update

Note 5 Not Receiving Multimedia Text Messages
Problem: Phone will not receive multimedia text messages. It is a samsung galaxy note 5.
Solution: What you should do in this case is to make sure that you have an active mobile data subscription and that the mobile data switch of the phone is on. You also need to make sure that the APN settings of the phone matches the settings that your carrier is using.
Note 5 Poor Network Connection
Problem: I have always had excellent network signal in my home and about from Verizon, until about July this year when I noticed a huge connection problem start affecting my phone, with network and even WiFi connectivity. I used to always have 4g lte even in my basement where I could watch videos clearly, until July possibly after I updated it I’m not totally sure,. Now it struggles to stay connected to network or WiFi. WiFi constantly connects and disconnects, mobile network is constantly on 3g or it cuts completely out saying 1x on top with 1 or two bars. Internet browser says I am off-line a lot. And the signal jumps from one to another to another 1x, 3g, 4g, mostly 3g and 1x. Do u think this is my antenna? Frustrating
Solution: The best way to troubleshoot this issue is to first check if the problem is caused by a software glitch by doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component in which case you will need to have this checked at a service center.
Note 5 Only Turns On If It Is Cold
Problem: I was cleaning phone and dumping memory… Then my phone would get stuck with the dead Android pic. I installed wakelock. It helps. But with a brand new battery when it gets to 10% it won’t turn back on by itself. Get a fresh battery, still won’t turn on . For some reason when it’s cold, it starts right up. We’ll now my issue is that updates are trying to push.. Full battery and on charger, when SW downloads & gets to the point where it needs to restart… It turns off and won’t come back on until I do freezer trick. After it comes back on it says download incomplete… I think I might have deleted some file it needs to reboot/recover. Help, I love this phone.
Solution: This appears to be a hardware related issue already possibly caused by a faulty internal component that fails to work if the phone gets hot. The best way to proceed in this case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
