Note 4 Receive Text Messages Late

Problem: There had been no problems so far ever since I bought my Note 4 over a year ago, but now, I don’t get any signal. The sim is fine because I use that over other phones and it worked okay, but when I use my Note 4 and then lock my screen, it sometimes show the “no network” sign, emergency calls only, and not registered to network. I’ve tried all possible solutions online but it still doesn’t change anything. The “no network” issue comes sometimes, but I really wanted to use my Note 4. I sometimes don’t get the signal, other times I do. Sometimes I receive messages late and whenever someone calls me, I couldn’t be reached even when my phone was turned on. I thought it was my sim card that caused it so I bought a new one recently. But when I tried it, I’d get a signal for a couple of minutes and then, when I lock the screen, the network’s gone. What should I do?

Solution: The reason why you are getting the text messages late and not reachable when someone is calling you is because of this no network issue. I would suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is done do not install anything in your phone just yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you need to have your phone checked at a service center since this could already be a hardware related issue.

Note 4 Cannot Send Text Messages

Problem: I can not send Text messages.  I can receive them.  I can make calls and most of the time receive them.  I have been told that sometimes they get a message saying the person you are trying to reach is not taking calls.  So far this is the only thing I have found that is a problem since the update that took place last night.  Well i did have an issue with data but it was resolved by deleting all APNS and adding my carriers information again.  My phone is a SM-N910c GSM network compatible,  it was purchased new unlocked from  I have straight talk as my carrier, spent time on phone with them today and was unable to resolve issues.   Please if help.

Solution: If there’s no problem with the account ( sometimes the text messaging subscription can expire) then the problem is with the phone. If this happened right after the update then it could be caused by some form of corrupt data. Try clearing the cache and data of the messaging app first. Follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. This deletes the temporary data stored in your device and in the messaging app itself. Once this is done try to check if the issue still occurs.

If the problem still remains then your last option is to do a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before proceeding with this step.

Note 4 Can’t See Text Message Sent

Problem: hi, my issue is when I send a text message to another person, i can’t see what i sent. I could only see it when i’m typing it but after i send it, it will not show up on the screen only what the other person writes. Also, I’m having a hard time opening up my internet as well. I honestly, have done so much in the past two days to fix the problem and nothing works. please, anyone help me.

Solution: Have you tried clearing the cache and data of the messaging app? This usually helps in this case. If you have more than one messaging app installed in your phone then this might also be the reason why this is happening. Try to start your phone in Safe Mode then check if you experience the issue in this mode. If the problem doesn’t occur then it’s very likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what this app is and uninstall it ( start with third party messaging apps).

One last troubleshooting step that you should consider is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data first before performing this step.

Note 4 Text Messages Sent But Not Received

Problem: Hello android man ..i have a samsung note 4 and just recently the people i’m sending text messages to are only getting some of my text and not all.. it says they are sent and everything..i text my girlfriend 3 messages just to test it and she only received one ..we’ve done this several times and she’s just not receiving all my messages even though they are sending ..i hope you can help me ..thanks

Solution: When a message is tagged as sent in your phone but the recipient has not received it then there are various factors to consider in this case. The problem could be with the recipient’s phone, the network, or your phone. Below are the recommended troubleshooting steps that needs to be done in this case.

  • Have the recipient verify that your number is not in the spam or block list.
  • Ask the recipient if the issue occurs when you send the text message or if it occurs when other people send a text message as well. If the recipient is not receiving text messages from multiple senders then the problem is on the recipient’s end.
  • Check if the problem is network related by sending a text message from different locations. If the issue only occurs in one particular location then there may be some network issues in the area. I suggest you contact your carrier regarding this.
  • Try sending a text message from Safe Mode. Do this a couple of times. If the text message is received by the recipient then the problem could be caused by an app installed in your phone. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Clear the cache and data of the messaging app.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 4 Can’t Receive Text Message

Problem: Hi yes all off a sudden I can’t receive text messages sent a text to friend got a reply send reply back and that was it can’t receive any text messages but can send no bother cleared cache , reset phone but still nothing can u help

Solution: When you mentioned you reset the phone is this a factory reset? If you already performed a factory reset then it’s possible that the problem could be network related. Try contacting your carrier and inquire if there are any network issues that may prevent you from getting text messages.

Note 4 Messaging App Shows No Messages

Problem: Every once in awhile the texting app that was on the phone says there are no messages. I have to restart my phone to get these messages to show up again. I’m also not able to upgrade to the newest software. I keep getting the update was interrupted and that’s it. The update has been a problem for some time the message problem is new. Thank you in advance

Solution: It’s possible that this issue is caused by a glitch in the messaging app. Try clearing the cache and data of the app from the application manager to fix this issue. It’s also best if you follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone.

Regarding the problem with the phone not updating its software try using Kies or Smart Switch to update the phone. If this doesn’t work then you should consider doing a factory reset then check for the update again.

Take note that your phone must meet certain requirements in order for it to get the update. It must have sufficient internal storage space. It must not be rooted. Ir must not be running on a custom software.
