Hammacher Schlemmer Unveils No Glasses 3D Tablet, Comes With Lifetime Warranty

When it comes to grabbing the attention of consumers one of the best ways is to offer a feature that’s not commonly found in competing products. Take for instance the very first tablet unveiled by Hammacher Schlemmer that’s being described as the “No Glasses 3D Tablet”. While there have been several other 3D tablets released in the market before the company claims that their product is the pioneer in this technology.

The Hammacher Schlemmer No Glasses 3D Tablet is being described as the only mobile tablet that is able to display 3D movies and images without the need for glasses. It makes use of a parallax barrier placed on top of its 8 inch display that delivers a different set of pixels for each eye. This makes your mind think that the images you are viewing have a sense of depth.

While the company has released the specifications of this device it is not complete. No information on its SoC or even available RAM are provided.

What we do know is that the device will have an 8 inch display that has a rather unimpressive resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. There’s going to be 16 GB of internal storage. Consumers can have an additional 32 Gb of storage using a USB flash drive or by using an SDHC memory card. There’s a 2MP rear camera as well as a 0.3MP front camera which are quite disappointing. The device will be using Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which is rather outdated.

This device is expected to ship by December 30 with a price tag of $349.95. One good thing about this device is that it comes with a lifetime guarantee so if ever you are disappointed with it you can return it and get a refund. As stated on the company website “The No Glasses 3D Tablet comes with The Hammacher Schlemmer Lifetime Guarantee at no additional charge. If this product ever disappoints you, for any reason, you may return your Hammacher Schlemmer purchase for exchange, credit, or refund.”
