Goolge explain Google Glass in a one hour video

Google Co-Founder Sergey Brin Sports the New Google Glasses at D

Google developer advocate Timothy Jordan spoke about the Google Glass for a good amount of time at the South by Southwest Interactive Conference last month. The speech was very different, and I mean this from the message of the speech point of view. Timothy Jordan said that Google Glass was an attempt to get people to use less gadgets, or in other words, an attempt to distant ourselves from gadgets, and that is by wearing one of them on our face.

He explains what we can do with Google Glass, what the Google Glass is capable of, and almost all of its features. The video, embedded below, is an hour long video explaining the awesome wearable device.

“Project glass is about our relationship to technology. It’s about technology that’s there when you want it but out of the way when you don’t,” Jordan said in the video. “It feels like technology is getting in the way more than it needs to. And, that’s what we are addressing with project glass. It’s so that you can still have access to the technology that you love but it doesn’t take you out of the moment.”

Timothy Jordon also showcased a preview of the product’s Mirror API and what the API is capable of doing for a third party developer. The possibilities of the applications of this product are endless. You just need to know what exactly you want to do. Also, the video below has another video in it which shows the viewers what wearing Google Glass looks like. We have already seen such videos from the search engine giant.

He says that using Google Glass will restrict the users from having to take out their smart phones for each and everything. For example, there will be a lot of moments in a day which you would want to preserve forever in a frame. For all these, you will have to take out your smart phone. But with Google Glass, you just need to provide a voice command. This is the idea,” Jordan said. “By bringing technology closer, we can get it more out of the way.”
