Nokia dropped the biggest hint about a 41MP camera with their new poster for their event on July 11. With the words ’41 million reasons’, it kind of directly hints at the phones big megapixel leap. Over the past few weeks we have seen multiple different images of the Nokia EOS, the phone with the 41MP camera.
While we still feel the Nokia EOS could be a let down, the Finnish company has not been one to surprise and push forward this smartphone generation, we may see a new flagship that can really go up against the HTC One, Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5. What Nokia needs is specifications similar to the top-end Android devices and an incredible design.
Nokia just released their new line of Lumia devices, including the Lumia 925 and Lumia 928 on Verizon. There was one rumoured phone missing from the event however, the Nokia EOS.
The Nokia EOS is a hidden project and like the Nokia tablet it was not announced at the London event. The Nokia EOS will apparently have a 41MP camera, like the Nokia 808.
Other details include a 4.5-inch 720p display and a polycarbonate build similar the Lumia 920 but with rounded edges. We expect Nokia to work hard on the camera features, but make this a mid-range device.
The Nokia EOS has a rumoured July launch date and we believe the Finnish company will try and get it out to a worldwide audience in Q3 2013.
