Speck Introduces 2 New Cases For The Samsung Galaxy Note

This week at South By Southwest Interactive I was one of many “influencers” using the Samsung Galaxy Note. I used the Note for just about everything which will be featured in a post shortly.

One thing about the Galaxy Note right now though was the availability of protective cases. The case that is packaged at Best Buy with the 5.3″ phoneblet is not really a protective case at all. It’s a nice case if you’re going to put the Galaxy Note in a suit pocket or a purse but not the rugged cases that I’m used to for other phones.

Thank goodness Speck has launched their stylish, yet protective, Candy Shell cases for the Samsung Galaxy Note. The cases feature a two toned style with double layer protection. There is an outer shell that protects the phone from drops and falls. There is an inner soft rubbery shell that protects the phone from shocks.  The unique design features a raised bezel as well for added screen protection.

Specks new Candy Shell Case For The Galaxy Note

The Candy Shell has a clearly defined area for the Samsung Galaxy Note’s S-Pen. One other case I had tried last week butted up to the area for the S-Pen making it a challenge to get to.

The Galaxy Note Candy Shell cases come in a variety of colors including the black and white/pink shown in the photos.

Speck has also introduced a new pinstripe and polka dot fabric case that is fitted for the Galaxy Note (also available for the Galaxy S II). It’s a two piece form fit case with a fabric back.  It’s fashionable and has a matte coating for a comfortable grip and ease to get it into a pocket.

These cases actually go on sale next week on March 20th. You’ll be able to check them out at speckproducts.com
