Solved Samsung Galaxy S8 Gets Stuck In Samsung Logo Then Shuts Down

The #Samsung #Galaxy #S8 is one of the flagship models released by the South Korean giant last year. The phone has an aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass on both the front and the back. It uses a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display which occupies most of the front part of the phone as the physical home button is no longer present. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 835 processor which is quite capable of handling demanding tasks. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. S8 Gets Stuck In Samsung Logo Then Shuts Down

Problem: Hi Droid guy my phone is a galaxy S8 I bought it from a friend who did a factory reset before he gave it to me. But after he did this when i powered on the phone the security feature came up but he didn’t remember the pattern. So i did another factory reset but now the phone won’t turn on without being plugged in because the battery no longer charges and when i plug it in and press the power button the logo screen comes up for a few seconds and then it shuts off then a couple of seconds later the phone vibrates and the logo screen comes up again and it just keeps doing this. I’ve tried a few of the procedures you have listed but none of them work the phone just keeps doing the same thing. And one more thing when i pressed the volume down and the power and home button the blue screen comes up and asks if i want to download the custom operating system so i tried this but i thought that it was stuck or froze because it was downloading for hours so i turned it off. But it’s still doing the same thing.Hope this helps.

Solution: The problem of the phone not completely turning on is most likely caused by a drained battery which is why the first thing you need to do is to make sure that the battery has sufficient charge. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to charge the phone.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a wall charger. Make sure that the charging indicator appears.
  • If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.

Once the battery has sufficient charge you should press and hold both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If all goes well the phone should start and will ask for the last Google account associated with the device. You can get this information from the previous owner.

In case the phone still shuts down then you should have this checked at  a service center as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.

S8 Only Vibrates When Turning On Device

Problem: Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 and a year ago, something happened to it where the phone suddenly was slower and it would randomly turn off. Now, the phone only works when plugged into an outlet and it usually says that it has 100% charge. Then if I unplug it two seconds later, it will say that it has 2% charge. Today, I was using the phone and I unplugged it from an outlet. As soon as I did, the screen went blank (as usual). I plugged it into a different outlet that I use all the time and it said that it was charging. However, when I tried to turn it on like I always do, it vibrated and went back to the charging symbol. I tried doing a soft reset  but it didn’t work. Right now, I have the device charging, however, I don’t think it will do any good. Please get back to me as soon as possible.

Solution: It’s very likely that the problem is caused by either a faulty battery or power IC. You can try connecting the phone to its wall charger then start it in recovery mode. From here you should do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. Once the reset is complete restart the phone then check if the issue still occurs.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S8 Moisture Detected Error

Problem: I bought my Samsung Galaxy S8  in March 2018 and was very happy with it. Recently, my original charger was stolen. I used Huawei charger and always take care of my phone not let it to go any trouble by any means like water, pressure on screen and so on. Yesterday, my phone was not charging and said moisture was there. please unplug your phone and plug again after charger and usb port is dry. As i have already said, there is no water on my charger and mobile charging port or even i never hold it with a wet finger. Furthermore, i can’t buy the original charger too. Market has china made charger only. How can i solve this issue?

Solution: The first thing that you should do right now is to make sure that the charging port of the phone is dry. You can use a mini vacuum or a hair dryer to ensure that there is no moisture in the port.

If the charging port is already dry but the error message still appears then this is most likely caused by a software glitch possibly caused by an update pushed to the device. The best thing that you can do to fix this problem is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
