S8+ Does Not Charge
Problem: hi there i have the samsung galaxy s8+. i’ve only had this since christmas as my dad bought me it as a gift, however when i plug it on to charge there is no led light to show it is charging and the lightning charging symbol is flashing on and of i have tried to reboot it by holding in buttons as directed on the site. The phone still wont turn on , do you have any idea on what may be the problem? and the phone has not been mistreated this is why i am concerned
Solution: To fix this problem the first thing that you should do is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air as dirt or debris stuck in the port can prevent the phone from charging. Once this is done try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger. In case the phone still refuses to charge then try using a wireless charger. You can also try charging the phone from a computer USB port. Once the phone charges try turning it on by pressing and holding the power and volume down buttons simultaneously.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S8+ Does Not Turn On
Problem: Hello my galaxy S8+ keeps rebooting it self it finally went to my home page this morning but it won’t even last a few mins on it just turns off for no reason it was working fine yesterday and now won’t even turn on
Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to make sure that the phone battery has sufficient charge. Charge the phone first for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger. Once the phone has charged perform the steps listed below.
- Simultaneously press and hold both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.
- Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
In case the issue persists then I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.
S8+ Not Turning On Unless Connected To Charger
Problem: Hi there, I have a samsung S8+ and have been having problems the last 2 weeks. the first sign of a problem was when I tried to open my snapchat app and my phone restarted. It was on around 90% then turned back on with about 20%. This became a more occurring problem until now my phone will not stay on unless it is plugged into a fast charger. Do i just need to replace the battery?
Solution: It looks like the phone battery is already faulty. For this to be fixed you will need to have the battery replaced at a service center.
S8+ Only Charges From USB Port Of Computer
Problem: Samsung Galaxy S8+ was working fine. Today it did not charge with the Samsung charger, which works fine with another phone that I also own. It only charges with usb cable connected to my laptop. I checked USB Debugging in Developer Options was not enabled. Also disconnected battery with Power button pressed for 60 seconds, but did not correct the problem. Any other solutions you can offer? Thank you.
Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port. Once this is done try charging the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger. If the problem still persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have the charging port assembly of the phone checked as this is most likely what’s causing the problem.
