S7 Facebook App Keeps Crashing

Problem: I just did the Samsung update and now my Facebook app won’t open. I did all of the troubleshooting on your website for S7 and the new update regarding facebook…clearing the cache, deleting recent apps in safe mode, and did a factory reset. The app will let me login with my info, then when it tries to load the feed screen crashes and says the app closed, even after the reset.

Related Problem: My facebook app on my Samsung S7, keeps blocking me out it says Unfortunately facebook has stopped It being let me in I tried many times I cleared my data and cache I uninstall and install it 4 or 5 times and the problem is still there . I don’t know what to do, this problem just happened suddenly and has been like this for 2 days my facebook app messenger works fine still , just the facebook app itself won’t let me in and keeps saying unfortunately facebook has stopped Need help

Solution: This problem is most likely caused by a bug in the latest Facebook update which was released recently. Try uninstalling this app from your phone then install a fresh version from the Google Play Store. In case the issue persists then you will need to wait for a newer version of the app to be released which comes with the fix to this problem. In the meantime you can access your Facebook account using your phone browser.

S7 Stuck In Kid’s Mode

Problem: I’ve got a Samsung Galaxy S7 that suddenly wanted to set up Kids’ mode, so I did, but have not been able to exit kids’ mode. When I press the Close Kids Mode icon, it asks for my Pin. I type the PIN and nothing happens. When I restart, it’s still stuck in Kids Mode. I am able to get into Parental settings with the PIN; I have even gone in and changed the PIN. Nothing lets me actually exit the program. I should be able to get into safe mode and fix this, but I am unable to get into Safe Mode. After powering off the S7 and leaving off for at least a minute, I press the Power and Volume Down buttons combos, but the screen goes from the Samsung Galaxy…powered by Android screen (where I usually let go of the Power button and keep holding down the Volume down button) to the SAMSUNG screen and then to a white screen with the T-Mobile logo. It never gets past this screen, although there is a temporary screen dimming as though it’s going to go on, and makes sounds as though notifications or restarting is happening. I have held the Volume down button for at least 5 minutes. I have tried various combinations of holding and letting go of Power and Volume Down in the very beginning. I have also tried Power and Volume Up .  Once it’s stuck at the T-Mobile logo screen, I usually have to hold Power and Volume Down together to get it to shut down (about 30 seconds). Holding the Power button down and waiting for Power Off etc., screen – Pressing and holding Power Off does not bring up another screen at all (with or without a reboot into safe mode option). I have removed the battery for at least half an hour and put it back in. No improvement. 1 – Do you have any other suggestions for getting into Safe Mode? 2- If I can’t get into Safe Mode, what is the difference between Factory Reset and Recovery Modes, and what option should I choose? I have been able to get to Recovery Mode , and the options are Reboot system now, Reboot to Bootloader, Apply updates from ADB, Apply updates from SD Card, Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe cache partition, Mount/system, View recovery logs, Power off. 3. If I reset or recover, how do I restore/set up my phone?

Solution: To exit the Kid’s Mode you need to follow the steps listed below.

  • Hold down the power button and touch Power off.
  • Touch POWER OFF to confirm.
  • With the device turned off, press and hold the Power button.
  • Release the Power button once the Samsung logo appears, then press and hold the Volume Down button until the device starts up.
  • The device will start up in Safe mode.
  • From the Home screen, touch Apps.
  • Touch More options  > Uninstall/disable apps
  • Touch minus icon on Kids mode app to uninstall.
  • Touch UNINSTALL to confirm deletion.
  • To Exit from Safe mode, hold the Power button and touch Restart.

If the above steps don’t work then start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
