Solved Note 8 Screen Keeps Flickering

The #Samsung #Galaxy #Note8 is a premium Android smartphone released last year that is quite versatile as it can perform various tasks with ease. The phone uses a familiar design structure that the S8 has started with the 6.3 inch Super AMOLED display occupying most of the front portion of the device as it no longer has a physical home button. Note 8 Screen Keeps Flickering

Problem: Hello and thanks for reading about my problem. My Note 8 has been acting strange lately. I’ve had it about 6 months and (in the last 2 weeks) when I am at home my screen has a really bad flicker issue. It acts up more when I touch the screen or go into an app. I will try my best to describe what it looks like. I get lines going across on left and right of screen but there is an invisible barrier that keeps the lines from going across the whole screen. The lines are reminiscent of semi colored tv static and scroll up and down really fast and sometimes stick in place for a moment or two. What I can’t understand is why this only happens when i am at my residence. I have taken it into the local att store with no resolve and also done all troubleshooting besides factory reset. Samsung wants me to ship my phone with a 10 day span of me not having my phone. This is difficult as i use my phone as part of my job. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks for your time.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. Try checking first if an app you downloaded is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then you should consider doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to have this checked at a service center.

Note 8 Screen Is Black

Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I dropped my phone a couple of times. So there ended up being a lot of cracks on my screen. it’s been a while now since the last time i cracked it, and my phone and screen was perfectly fine up until today. I had used it like i would usually do this morning, i had then placed the phone down, and a minute later i picked it up and the phone screen was black. it was not completely black though, just from the bottom up to the power key. the top part which i can see was working completely fine. when i started tapping on the black screen i can hear that i’m clicking it though. i went online to find any way to fix it. it still was not working, but as time was goes by, the top part of the screen slowly started to fade away. it would sometimes turn completely black or into a  mix of neon green and black.

Related Problem: My phone screen cracked and after two days the screen started flickering. It continuously flickering from the point my screen got cracked to downwards. This is the 3rd time i broke my phone and have already spent a lot on it. This time i want to use it like this for a while and replace or buy new phone . How long do you think my phone will work in this condition?

Solution: The only way to fix this problem is to have the display assembly of the phone replaced as it is already physically damaged with cracks. I recommend that you bring the phone to an authorized service center and have this display replaced.

Note 8 Freezes When Entering Password

Problem: after my phone was forcefully updated a few days ago and restarted, naturally only my password was being accepted to access it the first time. the problem with that is that whenever i tap the password bar, either it doesn’t respond or it freezes before the screen turns off and i press the button and tap the unresponsive bar again. the problem is that every other part of the phone seems to be working. the alarms go off normally, every other option i have in the lock screen works fine, but just the password bar won’t pull up, so i can’t type it. i’ve soft reset the phone and i’ve wiped the cache to no avail. the power off option on the phone also does not respond when i press it, so the only way to turn it off is volume down and power button, which restarts the phone right away

Solution: The best thing to do right now is to perform a factory reset from the recovery mode. Take note though that this will erase your phone data.

In case the issue still occurs after the reset then you should have this checked at a service center.
