Huawei P9 Charging Cord Needs To Be Bent To Charge Phone

Problem: Hey, so I’ve got a Huawei P9, and its been working perfectly for the past 2 years or so. Recently, tho, I’ve had troubles with charging it, since I’ll have to bend the charging cable around 60 degrees to the left, otherwise it just won’t charge.. I tried with different cables and the case was the same. Clearly the problem is with the phone’s charging port, I’m a little skeptical about using a pin to check the damage because i might really just mess it up more.. Is there anything i could do, or can you at least be clearer about how to use the pin?

Solution: If using different charging cords does not fix the problem then this is most likely caused by an issue with the charging port. You should try cleaning this port first using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port. Once this is done try checking of the phone will charge normally. If it doesn’t then the charging port might already be faulty and need to be replaced. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Huawei P9 Stuck On Boot Logo After Factory Reset

Problem: Did a factory reset. Volume up+power. Factory reset. Reboot system. Huawei logo came up and stuck there. Followed your instruction as on your note: Huawei P9 stuck on logo during boot up or enters Download mode. After got stuck on  logo only. Stayed like that for 3 or 4 minutes and went off. Power button wont do anything. Volume up++power still nothing. Volume down+power still nothing. Is the phone gone or still something can be done to save it? Appreciate your answer. Thank you

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to connect the phone to its wall charger then let it charge for at least 20 minutes. Once the battery has sufficient charge disconnect it from its charger. If your phone has a microSD card installed then remove this before proceeding with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Try checking if the phone can boot in Safe Mode. To access Safe Mode press and hold to On. When “Huawei “logo is displayed, release the key On. Immediately after releasing the Power key, hold the key Volume down . Keep holding down the Volume Down key until the phone finishes rebooting. Release the key Volume down when you see Safe Mode appear in the lower left corner of the screen. If the phone boots in this mode then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Try doing a factory reset from the recovery mode. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.

Huawei P9 Does Not Charge

Problem: HI….i’m using huawei P9 …. phone is running very smooth with very good battery time … suddenly phone shows that you can safely remove your memory card… and when i check phone is not supporting my memory card..then when i connect standard huawei charger there is no effect on phone battery level i reboot my phone several times and notification appears … ‘ Equipment level very low you cannot use charge treasure features’…. kindly help me

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to make sure that the charging port of the phone is free from any dirt or debris. Clean this port using a can of compressed air. Once this is done restart the phone then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also consider doing a factory reset but make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Huawei P9 Not Charging Or Turning On After Getting Wet

Problem: Hi my cell P9 is dropped in water when I got my mobile it’s working fine I have restart it several times and it’s working. But when I switch off my mobile and plug for charging it shows charging but after some time battery drained it switched off and now it’s not starting. it shows battery image when I plugged charger but it’s not charging.

Solution: It looks like water might have entered the phone and damaged some component inside. The best thing to do right now is to place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to have this checked at a service center.
