S7 Edge Gets Very Hot When Charging
Problem: Hi , I have Samsung Galaxy s7 edge , i put it on the charger this morning and after 30 minutes i found it very hot and a side of the screen is turning to white color(power key side) is try to turn the screen on but it went off and now totally frozen and not responsive at all. can you help please? best regards
Solution: The first thing that you should do in this case is to check if the charger that you are using is causing this problem. Try using a different charging cord and wall charger when charging your phone then check if it still gets hot. Make sure to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air to get rid of any dirt or debris that might be stuck in it before charging the phone.
If the phone still gets hot or if it remains unresponsive then disconnect it from the charger. Simulate a battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.
S7 Edge Bottom Half Of Screen Not Responding After Drop
Problem: Hey! I dropped my samsung s7 edge on the ground and it broke in the upper right corner. But the odd thing is that the upper half of the screen is responding to touch, but not the bottom half. Everything else seems fine and there are no abnormal dots or lines in the lcd. So what i’m wondering is if this means the lcd is broken, or if it sounds like i can just change the outer glass to fix it? Tried googling it for hours but can’t seem to find anyone with the same problem.
Solution: It looks like the drop has affected the digitizer of the phone. The only troubleshooting that you can do right now is to check if this is caused by a software glitch. If you can backup your phone data then do it now. Once the backup is complete start the phone in recovery mode then perform a factory reset from here. Restart your phone then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to have the whole display assembly replaced since the digitizer of the phone is fused to the glass itself.
S7 Edge Recent Back Keys Not Working After Phone Got Wet
Problem: I got my phone damaged after submerging in a bucket for a quick cleanup and the front keys and power button stopped working, the service repaired the power button but recent and back keys are not still working he said they are integrated in the screen and to get them working the screen is needed to be replaced but the cost of it is about 300$ which I can’t afford right now. Please guide me.
Solution: Unfortunately there is no software fix for this particular problem as it appears that the hardware has already been affected. You could try bringing the phone to a different service center and see if they can fix your phone at a much lower cost.
S7 Edge Not Able To Install Firmware
Problem: i have a serious problem with my s7 edge sm-g935fd, the device is not able to install firmware in odin as well as in smart switch too. in odin it stops on system and in smart switch as well, i think my phone is completely bricked because its not letting the firmware to install.. please help me the solution
Solution: Try wiping the cache partition of your phone then do a factory reset from the recovery mode. Make sure to backup your phone data before performing these steps. Once complete try installing the firmware again. If the issue persists then do the following steps listed below.
- Download another copy of the firmware file. This allows you to check if the file that you have is causing the problem.
- Sometimes a faulty USB cord can cause this problem. Try using a different USB cord.
- Try connecting your phone to a different USB port in your computer.
- Try using a different computer to flash your phone.
S7 Edge Apps Are Crashing
Problem: so i use my phone for like a month or a few weeks and all of a sudden my apps like play store, (pre installed) amazon, lookout and other apps start to crash. i can’t even use the phone app without it randomly crashing (sometimes even in a phone call and i can’t hang up at this point). The only way i found to fix it is to reset and FULLY reset my phone from the “phone bios menu” and then i have to reinstall everything. this is really annoying and it’s driving me crazy!?!?!
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? Sometimes if the card has corrupt sectors it can cause crashing and freezing issues on the device.Try removing the card if your phone has one then check if the issue still occurs. If your phone does not have a card installed then your other option is to backup the phone data then do a factory reset.
S7 Edge Charging Very Slowly After Phone Got In Water
Problem: i put my phone in the water and when i tried to charge it , it was charging slowly like 30% in 2 hours 20 minutes
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that the charging port of the phone does not have any liquid at it. You can use a vacuum to remove any moisture in this port. Other people have success in using a hair dryer to dry the charging port. Once this port is free from liquid try to charge the phone again. If it still charges slowly you should try using a different charging cord and wall charger ( must have an output rating of 2.0A).
Should the issue still persist I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This way you will be able to check if a software glitch is causing this problem. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try charging your phone first.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Stuck In Android Icon After Factory Reset
Problem: hi, I did a factory reset on my phone Samsung s7 edge and when my phone came on after the reset, it doesn’t show the Samsung s7 edge logo anymore instead it shows the android icon only. please how can I solve this problem?
Solution: What you should do first in this case is to do a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. If you are still getting the same problem then connect your phone to a charger and let it charge for at least 20 minutes. Once the phone has charged for 20 minutes disconnect it from the charger then try to restart the phone. If this doesn’t work then start the phone in recovery mode and perform a factory reset from here.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should consider flashing your phone with its updated stock firmware file using Odin. You can get the firmware file as well as the instructions on how to flash your phone from the Sammobile website.
S7 Edge Clicking Sound When Screen Is Off
Problem: When the phone screen is off I get intermittent clicking sound as if buttons are being pushed… Not sure what the sound is but it’s as if someone is using the phone but screen is off and locked. When I turn screen on noise stops.
Solution: Try to check if one of the apps you have downloaded is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
In case the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then you should consider backing up your phone data and do a factory reset.
