S7 Edge Black Screen With Blue LED Light

Problem: Hey! I do have a problem with my s7 edge that I got 6 months ago. I was charging it this afternoon and I decided to turn it off. When I tried to open it, it only has black screen with the blue led lights on. Im hoping for your response. Thank you!

Solution: The most effective way to fix this particular issue is to perform a battery pull.To do this just press and hold the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.

In case the above step fails to fix the problem proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Connect your phone to its charger then let it charge for at least 20 minutes. With the phone still connected to the charger try turning it on.
  • Try turning on the phone in recovery mode. If you are able to access this mode then you should perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Keeps Restarting And Freezing

Problem: my s7 edge suddenly keep restarting and then freeze and wont turn for more than 10 hours

Solution: The first thing that you need to do for this particular issue is to check if the microSD card is causing the problem. If your phone has a microSD card installed then I suggest that you removed it first.

If your phone does not have a microSD card or if the issue still occurs even after the card is removed then follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Check if an app you installed is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur when the phone is running in this mode then the problem is most likely caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the issue still occurs even after performing the steps listed above then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Not Turning On After Flashing Software

Problem: I tried flashing my phone myself, I googled it and when the firmware download was done instead of rebooting the screen went black and now it won’t turn on at all. I’ve tried the whole power volume down home button thing but nothing happens. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to make sure that the battery of your phone has sufficient charge. Charge your phone first for at least 20 minutes. If you don’t get any charging indicator from your phone then perform the following troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
  • Charge your phone using a different charging cord and wall charger that is known to work.

Once the phone has charged try accessing the recovery mode then perform the following steps.

  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone.
  • Do a factory reset.

If the issue persists then you will need to flash your phone with its updated stock firmware file using Odin. You can download the firmware file from the Sammobile website.

S7 Edge Will Not Turn On Or Charge

Problem: Samsung Galaxy s7 edge will not turn on or charge or reboot and it’s new out of the box (has not been turned on yet) Charger is working however the phone is not

Solution: Try to leave it charging for at least 20 minutes then check if the phone turns on. If it doesn’t then disconnect it from the charger then perform a battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

If you are still not getting any response from the phone then you should have this checked at a service center or have it replaced from where you bought it.

S7 Edge Not Recognized By Laptop

Problem: When I connect my phone to my laptop the phone only states that it is charging. The laptop states that the device is not recognized. I have tried both USB 3.0 and 2.0. When I connect the phone to my desktop it connects just fine. I am using the cord that came with the phone and both computers are on Windows 7.

Solution: It looks like the problem is caused by an issue with your laptop. Try updating the device drivers of your laptop first as this might just be the reason why it is not detecting your phone.

S7 Edge Not Accepting Google Account

Problem: we did a reset on our s7 edge and now it’s at the startup screen asking for our account that was used to sync the phone. that account is a gmail that i can log into with a browser but won’t work on the phone. how do i get past this? it’s been 4 days and nothing. i feel helpless as verizon, google and samsung all point fingers at each other. Help

Solution: To fix this problem you should access your Google account from a computer browser then change the password. Once the password has been changed proceed with logging into your Google account on the phone.

S7 Edge Heats Up

Problem: My samsung s7 edge is just 20 days old ! And it heats up extremely ! Once i had issue with Display flickering as well ! One day it’s fine and the other day nothing seems right ! Have tried all troubleshoots ! Still it’s very unstable regarding temperatures ! please suggest me what can be done ! I am from India !

Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it has one then try removing it as this might be causing the problem.

Another possible factor that can cause this issue is a third party app that you installed in your phone. To check if this is the case you should start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

One last troubleshooting step that you should perform is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Camera Failed Error

Problem: S7 edge camera failed issue. I have tried all resets and wipes, i tried safe mode and even installed new cameras first just front then just back then both still the same thing. Smart stay was off in experimenting I turned it on it actually works so the front camera is operating to a degree . Any ideas on a fix I’m tapped out . Thank you

Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the issue still occurs then this could already be a hardware related problem. I recommend that you have your phone checked at a service center if this is the case.
