Today we will tackle the Galaxy S6 Edge blue flashing light with blank screen issue & other related problems. S6 Edge Blue Flashing Light With Blank Screen
Problem: I use a fairly new samsung galaxy s6 edge phone. Something happened to it recently.The phone was 100% charged and suddenly went blank, but beems a blue light at interval from the point where you see red light when charging. Please what’s the cause of this problem and how do I resolve it.
Solution: The first thing that you should need to do in this particular case is to make sure that the battery has sufficient charge. Connect your phone to its charger then let it charge for at least 20 minutes. If the phone doesn’t seem to charge then try the following troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure that any dirt or debris gets removed.
- Try using a different charging cord when charging your phone.
- Try using a different wall charger.
- Try charging your phone from a computer USB port.
Once your phone has sufficient charge disconnect it from the charger then do a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Normally, the phone should restart after this,
If the issue persists then try starting the phone in recovery mode. If you are able to access this mode then you should do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked as this might already be caused by a hardware component that is failing to work.
S6 Edge Turns Off When Battery Reaches 40%
Problem: Hi recently my Samsung Galaxy s6 edge has been dying on me every time once my battery percentage is around 40% is it fixable or do I have to get a new phone? I’ve tried everything and nothing is working please help.
Solution: It looks like the a faulty battery is causing this problem. Before bringing the phone to a service center and having the battery checked you should first perform the troubleshooting steps listed below to verify if another factor is causing this problem.
- Start your phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset do not install any apps in your phone yet. Check first if the issue still occurs.
If the problem persists then you need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Turned Off Not turning Back On
Problem: Hi there, i have the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I had 100% battery this morning, was listening to music through the bluetooth in my car and my phone went dead. I have tried all the suggestions you have made to get it to turn back on and no joy. Have plugged it into charger and no LED light came up or anything. Its has died. What else can i do? Solution: Right now what you should do is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging pot of your phone using a can of compressed air.
- Try charging the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger.
- Try charging your phone from a computer USB port.
- If you have a wireless charger then check if the phone charges wirelessly.
If your phone still does not turn on and remains unresponsive then you should bring this to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Phone Screen Displays Static
Problem: Hello, I was wondering if you could help me fix my phone. My phone is not cracked, but this morning on my way to class at 7:20am, my phone screened static all of a sudden. Do you know how to fix the problem?
Solution: Try restarting the phone then check if the display problem gets fixed. If not then check if the same issue occurs when you start your phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then the problem might be caused by a software glitch. You will need to do a factory reset in this mode to fix the problem. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
If the problem still occurs even in recovery mode then there’s a possibility that the problem is caused by a faulty display assembly. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.
S6 Edge Boot Loop When Connected To Charger
Problem: Hi i’ve got a samsung s6 edge so basically the issue i have is whenever the phones fully charged or if it’s charging i can turn it on a bit but it still blanks out and phone boot loops by itself so then if it isn’t connected to a power source phone literally doesn’t turn on at all literally blank
Solution: Try starting the phone in recovery mode while it is connected to its charger. From here you should do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase the phone data. If the problem is caused by a software glitch then the issue will most likely be resolved after the reset.
If the problem persists then you need to bring your phone to a service center as this could already be caused by an internal component that is failing to work.
S6 Edge Does Not Turn On Unless Connected To Charger
Problem: Basically my phone was working fine earlier today but at around 1 pm the battery was dead even though it was on 90% 1 min earlier so I put it in charge it went back up to 100 percent but it won’t power at all if it isn’t in charge and when it is in charge I can only access the factory reboot memory thing.
Solution: It’s very likely that the problem is caused by a faulty power IC. Try accessing the recovery mode then do a factory reset from here. Take note that this will erase your phone data. This procedure needs to be done to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. If the issue persists then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Has Horizontal Grey Bars On Screen
Problem: Woke up this morning to find my Samsung s6 edge screen has 4 thick grey bars goings across horizontally. I have taken a screenshot but it does not capture the defects. I have googled this and it seems quite common especially on the S7 edge. If i dim the backlight the bars seem to shrink.
Solution: Unfortunately there’s only one troubleshooting step that you can do in this case and that is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. If the issue still occurs even after the reset then this could already be caused by a faulty display assembly. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Gets Hot Not Turning On
Problem: I was using my phone suddenly it heats up. i Closed all the applications then suddenly the phone went off. I tried turning it on but it couldn’t come up. I charged it. instead of it to charge, it became hotter. Right now,the phone Is just there.
Solution: It’s very likely that the phone has a short circuit thus causing the device to heat up when you charge it. Since this is a potentially dangerous issue I recommend that you do not charge your phone. Bring it immediately to a service center and have it checked.
