S6 Charges But Won’t Turn On
Problem: Phone charges but won’t turn on. Was working fine then just randomly turned off and couldn’t get back on. It won’t reset in any way and only begins to start while plugged into the charger but doesn’t get further than the first couple screens in the process before it begins entirely over. Just want my pictures atleast. Don’t see why it won’t turn on when there was nothing wrong with it.

Solution: Try starting the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone is started in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. In case the phone starts in this mode then you will be able to backup your phone data including your photos. I suggest that you do it now. Once you have made a backup of your phone data then the next step is to check what is causing this problem. The most likely reason if your phone starts in Safe Mode is an app which you downloaded. Find out what app is causing the problem then uninstall it.
In case the phone does not start in Safe Mode then I suggest that you perform a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.
You should also try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode then check if the phone will successfully start.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should consider performing a factory reset from the recovery mode. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If a factory reset is not an option or if the issue still persists after the factory reset then you will have to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Battery Drains Quickly After Update
Problem: Why is it since last 3 updates to Samsung S6 my battery is now draining faster than should been. I still have all same apps on as had before the updates but draining lot quicker now since last update 15/10/17. I used to be able go out with music playing and still be at around 96% when got to where going, now it down to around 85% for the same time travel. It is annoying now and have to have backup charger with me to keep it charged if out longer as usually are on weekends. And I’m running android version 7.0 now as couple updates it just using more power than usual with all same stuff still on phone as before. I disable few apps not use to save power as well which not make difference to phone either.
Solution: The first thing that you should do in this particular case is to make sure that your phone apps are updated. Updated apps are usually optimized to work with the latest software version which has an effect on the phone battery life. You can check for app updates by going to the My Apps section of the Google Play Store.
In case your apps are updated and the battery still drains quickly then you will have to check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem. To do this you should start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have the battery checked.

S6 Screen Not Working After Phone Fell
Problem: My phone (samsung Galaxy S6) fell. Since then I am not able to see anything on the screen. Though the blue LED is always on (not blinking). Sometimes while charging, the LED is changing to solid red. When I try calling my phone from another number, it says that my phone is switched off. Do you know what could be the possible damage? is there a way i can still recover my data?
Solution: It looks like some component in the phone got damaged by the drop. This could be the display or other internal part. The best thing that you can do right now is to have the phone checked at a service center so that the issue can be properly addressed.
S6 Not Turning On After Getting Wet
Problem: I kept my phone inside a bag with a bottle of cold water and i guess it spilled on it. It is a samsung s6 and i can’t remove the battery. the phone is refusing to come on and i have tried drying it but all to no avail.
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to wipe the phone dry with a soft cloth. Once this is done place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Try turning on the phone after this. If it doesn’t turn on the the phone has most likely suffered from water damage. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
