Samsung said to be fixing Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge RAM issues

Galaxy S6 Edge

About a week ago, we spoke about units of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge potentially facing RAM related issues. It is now being said that the two handsets are getting a minor firmware update, possibly with a fix for this particular bug.

We have to mention that these are merely speculations at this point and there’s no word on whether it actually contains these fixes, but knowing what we’ve seen over the past week or so, it’s safe to assume Samsung has patched those bugs.

It’s too early to catch hold of an official changelog, as Samsung only mentions that there are performance updates being made. But when and if we have a detailed changelog from the company, we’ll make sure you’re the first to know.

Last week, we spoke about how users weren’t able to use the phone as desired with the memory appearing to be full even when there are no running tasks. This can be particularly frustrating for users looking to multitask as the phone automatically kills apps in the background, forcing you to start fresh.

The update is 138MB in size and is currently being spotted in Italy through Vodafone. The build number changes to G920FXXU1AODG post the update.

Have your seen the update on your Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 Edge yet? Sound off below.
