Note 5 Screen Does Not Respond
Problem: Part of my screen doesn’t respond. I noticed this a couple of days ago that my upper left side of my screen doesn’t respond. When I restart my phone, it goes back to normal. I thought it may be some kind of a bug from an app, so I decided to restore my phone to its factory settings. I was disappointed to know that it still doesn’t respond and when I restart my phone again, it works. So I found this *#7353# and tried the TSP grid, there I found out that my screen doesn’t respond. Is there anyway you can help me? I got this phone from the philippines. I’m now in the US, I only got this phone last november.
Solution: It seems like this issue is already hardware related. When the upper left side of the screen does not respond try to hold the upper left edge of the phone tightly. This is to check if the problem is possibly caused by a loose connection. If the display now works then you now have a possible cause. If the problem still persists then the issue may be with the display itself. Either way you will have to bring the phone to an authorized service center and have it checked. The technician may have to tighten the connection between the display and the board or the digitizer/display of the phone may need to be replaced.
Note 5 Unresponsive To Touch
Problem: My note 5 screen is unresponsive to my touches. It only responds when I use my stylus. I’ve never dropped it before, it just happened suddenly after one night. ls there any ways that I can fix this issue? lve tried restarting my phone many times but the screen is still unresponsive to my fingers (touch). Please help me.
Solution: If the screen of your phone is now unresponsive to touches then the problem could be caused by a defective digitizer. You should however check first if this is a software related problem by backing up your phone data then doing a factory reset from the recovery mode.
If the issue still occurs after the reset then the phone digitizer could already be damaged. I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
Note 5 Screen Is Fuzzy
Problem: Phone went dead plugged it in to charge now it is stuck with the left led light on and the screen is fuzzy it won’t power off or factory reboot . It worked fine before battery went dead
Solution: Try taking out the phone battery and the microSD card if you have one installed. Press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear out its RAM. Once this is done reinsert just the battery then turn on your phone. Check if the issue still occurs.
If the problem still persists then you should start the phone in recovery mode. From there proceed with wiping the cache partition of your phone. Restart the phone normally then check if the problem still exists. If it does then you should start your phone in recovery mode again then do a factory reset. Take note that this will delete all data stored in your phone so before doing this it is important that you backup your phone data. Since your screen is fuzzy the best way to backup your data is to connect your phone using a USB cord to a computer with Kies or Smart Switch running. Using the mentioned software you will be able to backup your data.
If the factory reset fails to resolve the problem then this may already be a hardware related issue. I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
Note 5 Screen Won’t Work
Problem: Hello,i hit my phone screen with the controller from the ps4, not really hard, after that the screen work and then stops, but the phone still works, i still get notifications from apps, it vibrates, and when i start it all the leds flashes,i hear the samsung intro and all,but the screen wont start, can you please tell me what can i do?
Solution: There’s a possibility that the display of your phone has been damaged. Before bringing your phone to an authorized service center try checking if there are other factors involved that is causing this issue. Try taking out the battery and microSD of your phone first then press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This discharges your phone circuit and clears out the RAM. Reinsert the battery then check if the issue still occurs.
If it does then see if you can access the recovery mode of your phone. If you can access this mode then I suggest you do a factory reset. Take note that this will delete all data stored in your phone so make sure to have a backup copy first.
If your can’t access the recovery mode of your phone then it’s time to bring your device to an authorized service center.
Note 5 Top Left Screen Not Working
Problem: The top left of screen will not let me pick the menu button. The only way it will work is if I clear stuff with the smart manager or restart it. Then it works for a little while.
Solution: The problem could be caused by some form of corrupt data in your phone. Try to start your phone in recovery mode first then wipe its cache partition. Restart your phone then check if the issue still occurs.
Another factor that can cause this problem is a third party app. To check if this is the case you need to start your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while apps you downloaded are disabled. Observe your phone in this mode. If the problem does not occur then it’s likely caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Note 5 Screen Turns Off When On A Call
Problem: Hi, When I placed a call screen will turn off. watsapp audio message playing time also screen will off. Still it’s work but screen will turn black.
Solution: This is a feature of the phone which helps conserve its battery life. Once you accept a call you will take the phone and place it on your ears. This means that there won’t be any use for the display to turn on since you won’t even see the display. A proximity sensor is responsible for sensing that the phone is close to your ears, once you view the phone again the display will light up.
If you don’t want the display to turn off then from the home screen tap on phone then go to the menu then tap call settings. From there you can disable the “turn off screen during call feature”.
Note 5 Screen Is Black
Problem: screen is black, no power, blinking charging signs/low battery. i already turn it on the power but still no power blinking is on even if i’m not charging.
Solution: Start the troubleshooting by replacing the phone battery with a new one. The battery you are using may already be defective which is why your phone does not respond.
If the problem still occurs then I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
