Note 4 Wi-Fi Stopped Working
Problem: Hi – All of a sudden my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge WiFI stopped working. WiFi scan is able to identify the Open WiFi Networks, but it’s showing Not in range against all of them – even for the WiFi Network set up at my home. I did a factory reset, but still it’s not working. Please help.
Solution: When you did a factory reset did you try to connect your phone to multiple Wi-Fi networks? Id your phone doesn’t connect to any Wi-Fi network then this could already be a hardware related issue. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Wi-Fi Won’t Start
Problem: Hello I am using a SAMSUNG 4 Galaxy and my wifi button wont start , it was ok for one year but later after some issue my phone did not work so I got it repaired in warranty . After that when I got back my phone my wifi and bluetooth buttons were behaving weird and I press the green wifi icon but it wont start and sometimes it starts after switch off the phone and take out sim card and start again . Solution: For this particular issue you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete don’t install anything in your phone just yet. Try to turn on the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switch of your phone. If the problem persists then this is already a hardware issue in which case you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Solution: If this issue occurs on multiple Wi-Fi networks then this issue could be caused by a software glitch. Listed below are the troubleshooting steps that you should do.
- Forget the Wi-Fi connection from your phone. Restart your device then try connecting to the Wi-Fi network. Check if the issue still occurs.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.

Note 4 Wi-Fi Switch Is Grey
Problem: My wifi button that turns it off and on in the settings is grey, and when I press the wifi button on the notification panel, it turns into a dim green light.
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch.Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete don’t install anything in your phone yet. Try to check first if you can now turn on the Wi-Fi switch. If the issue still occurs then this is most likely a hardware related problem already. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

Solution: Have you tried checking if the problem occurs when your phone is connected to different Wi-Fi networks? If it doesn’t then this could be a problem with the router. If the issue occurs on different Wi-Fi networks then I suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Try forgetting the Wi-Fi network from your phone. Restart your phone then connect to it again.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode then check if the issue still occurs.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
