Note 4 Turns On And Off On Its Own
Problem: My phone recently just started turning on and off on its own. I have tried doing the soft restart and other methods but nothing is fixing my problem. When I turn my phone on I would only have about 10 seconds to do anything before it turns off. No insurance on the phone so sprint techs will not look into this issue.
Solution: What you can do right now is to check if a faulty battery is causing the problem. Try getting a new battery then check if the problems still occurs. If it does then the next step is to check if a glitch in the phone software is the culprit. To do this you will have to backup your phone data first then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete don’t install anything in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should have your phone checked at a service center that’s capable of doing board level repairs as I suspect that a malfunctioning internal component is already causing this problem.
Note 4 Randomly Turns Off And Gets Drained
Problem: I first started experiencing major battery loss with my note 4, I wouldn’t be able to use my phone much because it would randomly turn off and be drained to 0% no matter how much it had before, so I ordered a new battery, I made sure it was an original, and when I place the new battery in, the phone begins to start up, then turns off and enters a boot loop until I remove the battery, but if I put the old battery back, I have no problem, any idea what this could be? Also, my phone is rooted
Solution: Since you already tried replacing the phone battery what you should do next is to check if the phone software is causing this issue by performing the troubleshooting steps listed below. Check if the problem still occurs after performing a steps then move to the next step if the issue still occurs.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone is working in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If the issue doesn’t occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Start the phone in recovery mode then wipe its cache partition. This will erase the cached system data of the phone which could also cause this issue.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then this could be caused by a malfunctioning internal component. If this is the case then you should bring this phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Recovery Booting After Software Update
Problem: Hello, my phone start having a problem after the update. when i press the power button it show’s recovery booting on the top left side after that, it show, installing system updating and it never turn on.
Solution: Usually in cases such as this the culprit is old software data that has not been completely removed from your phone. This old data causes a conflict with the new software version resulting in this issue. What you will want to do in this case is to start the phone in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data so make sure to have a backup copy before proceeding.
In case the phone doesn’t start in recovery mode or if doing a factory reset fails then your other option is to manually flash an updated firmware file to your phone. Instructions on how to flash your phone can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.
Note 4 Turns Off When Taking Photos
Problem: My note 4 turns off completely whenever I take a picture with the camera app. I have tried clearing the cache and also running in safe mode with no change. I am on a new battery, as the original died. When it shuts off in order to get it to boot again I have to either plug it into a charger or pull the battery out and put it back in, no matter how much charge is left. Please help.
Solution: Since you already performed most of the required troubleshooting steps that needs to be done in this particular issue you are now left with doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. If after the reset the issue still occurs then there might be a malfunctioning capacitor inside your phone. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.
Note 4 Secure Check Fail Error
Problem: Phone overheated and froze over night, I removed the battery in the morning as the power button was unresponsive. I let the phone sit for a few hours before coming back to it and putting it back together. Currently it is unable to load getting stuck at the Galaxy logo. when trying to boot in recovery mode it has red text in the upper right hand corner saying: SECURE CHECK FAIL: Loaded PIT ERROR Device have invalid pit it also has a yellow text under it saying : Set Warranty Bit : recovery Any help would be appreciated. thank you
Solution: It looks like your phone is bricked. To verify this further try taking out the battery and the microSD card of your phone then press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear out its RAM. Reinsert just the battery then check if the phone turns on. If it doesn’t then your only option right now is to flash an updated firmware file to your phone. For the exact procedure on how to do this please refer to the various Android forums online.
Note 4 Will Not Turn On
Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and it has rebooted several times and freeze up. But now it is has a black screen and will not boot up nor turn on nothing I have read on the Internet or tried has worked. Just asking for any information before I go to the Verizon store tomorrow.
Solution: You should try getting a new battery and see if this fixes the problem. Make sure to connect the phone to its charger for at least 20 minutes before turning it on. If the issue still occurs then you should have this checked at a service center.
Note 4 Switching Off Repeatedly
Problem: Recently my Samsung Note 4 starting acting weird, it is switching off repeatedly without getting switch on . And this is repeating till the charge on the phones drain out . Can I know the problem for this issue?? whether it is hardware issue ????
Solution: Try to check if the issue occurs when you start the phone in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t occur when the phone is running in this mode then the problem could be caused by an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If the issue occurs even in Safe Mode then I suggest you start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data so make sure to have a backup copy first before doing this.
Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then this could already be a hardware problem. I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
