Note 4 Camera Failed
Problem: I have the samsung galaxy note 4. All of a sudden my camera has stopped working. It gives me a message that my camera failed. I followed some of the suggestions including factory reset. Nothing has seemed to work. Very irritating that my phone is doing this. Can you help?
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing this as this might be causing the problem. If your phone doesn’t have a microSD card installed or if the issue still occurs even with the microSD card removed then it’s very likely that the camera module of your phone could be damaged. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center that does board level repairs and have your phone checked.
Note 4 Turns Off When Camera Is Used
Problem: Everytime i try to use the app snapchat, or my camera whether to take pictures or video my phone shuts off and turns back on again. Sometimes it wont switch on for ages and it just keeps going off as soon as it’s on or not fully turning on before it shuts off again. Very frustrated 🙁 my battery is not low. It’s been happening for 5 days or so and i have tried taking the battery out for a while and i updated snapchat but nothing helps. Thank you
Solution: In most cases like this the issue is caused by a faulty battery. This happens when the battery is not able to supply the required power to run power hungry apps such as Snapchat or the camera. Try getting a new battery and see if the issue still occurs. If it does then the next step is to check if a glitch in the phone software is causing this issue. To do this just backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install anything in your phone just yet. You should first check if the issue still occurs.
If the above steps fail to fix the issue then you should have your phone checked at a service center as this could be a hardware related problem.
Note 4 records Video In Slow Motion
Problem: Hello, i am using Samsung Galaxy Note 4 which has been upgraded to android 6.0.1, a problem occurs everytime when I want to make a video my camera makes it in slow motion, I have tried many times from settings to find slow motion option but unable to find , please help me so I can make videos in normal mode.
Solution: Your phone camera might be set to take slow motion videos. To change this open your camera app. Tap on settings then More ( the icon with the three dots). You will see the recording mode setting, tap on this. Make sure that it is set to normal mode. If this is already set to normal mode and your phone still records slow motion videos then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset as this might be caused by a glitch in the phone software.
Note 4 Camera Warning Server Error Occured
Problem: I have a Galaxy Note 4. The camera gives me a message – Warning server error occurred. Restart camera. I can take self photos with no problem. I have done all the fixes listed and a factory reset also.
Solution: If a factory reset fails to fix the issue then the problem could very well be caused by a faulty camera module. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center. It’s possible that you will need to have this module replaced in order to fix the problem.
Note 4 Shuts Off When Using The Camera
Problem: Hello, I put my phone into safe mode and when using my camera it still shuts off and I need to remove the battery in order for it to turn back on. Do you have any other suggestions to fix this problem? Thanks!
Solution: One common cause of this problem is a faulty battery. Try replacing your phone battery with a new one to check if this is the case. If the problem still occurs even with a new battery then proceed with a factory reset to eliminate any software glitches. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then I recommend that you have your phone checked at a service center that’s capable of doing board level repairs.
Note 4 Quits Shooting Videos
Problem: Since the Marshmallow update my note 4’s camera won’t shoot video. It starts but quits immediately.
Solution: Sometimes this problem can be caused by corrupt data within the camera app. Try clearing the cache and data of the camera app then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then make sure that the recorded videos are saved straight to the internal storage of your phone instead of the microSD card. To make sure that this happens you should remove your phone’s microSD card if one is installed.
Another possible factor that can cause this problem is a conflict with a third party app installed in your phone. To check if this is the case start your phone in Safe Mode. If the issue doesn’t occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
