J7 Will Not Charge

Problem: Hello, I’ve tried re-calibrating my Samsung J7 so that the phone can charge, but it still doesn’t work, so now my phone is completely dead. The phone detects the charging but will not increase. I’m very concerned because the phone is not even a year old yet and there is a big issue that I don’t want to worsen because of how much I use my phone to communicate with my divorced parents. Please help!!!

Solution: To fix this problem you should try cleaning the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. Once this is done try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger.

If the issue persists then this might already be a hardware related problem possibly caused by a faulty power IC or battery. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Blocking App Notification

Problem: I am trying to turn on pop up blocker and all the answers I found  on the internet says to go to settings and then

tap on sound and notifications.  I don’t have sounds and notifications, I have sounds and vibrations..

Turn on your smartphone

Go to Settings

Tap on “Sound & notification”

Select on “App notifications”

Tap on the app you want to stop seeing notifications from

Change the toggle from Allow peeking to OFF (it’ll go from blue to gray)

So, therefore I can’t go any farther.  I can’t find app notifications either.  Can anyone help?

Solution: To block notifications of a particular app on your phone you should perform the following steps listed below.

  • Tap on Apps icon from the Home screen.
  • Tap on Settings icon.
  • Tap on Sounds and notifications settings.
  • Select and tap on App notifications.
  • Select the App for which you want to block the notifications.
  • Tap on the Switch to activate block notifications

J7 Samsung Notes Stopped Working

Problem: Samsung notes stops working when I try to access a locked note. Unlocked notes are fine but if I click on a locked one the app error message reads “Samsung Notes Has stopped restart app”….then when I click on that it says “Samsung notes keeps stopping close app”

Solution: The best way to fix this problem is to clear the cache and data of the Samsung Notes app from the application manager. If the issue persists then proceed with the steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

J7 Randomly Restarts

Problem: hi, i have a samsung galaxy J7. that is giving me so much grieve, & lately i am spending more time trying to fix it than actually using it.there is a few things it does that makes it unusable.  no matter fully charged or not. if i put my phone in my pocket, within a minute or so it shuts down by itself. sometimes i can turn it on & it will simply restart, other times i have remove the battery wait & put battery back in for it to start, & more frequently now it does not restart, instead it simply starts up to the samsung  greeting & as soon as it jumps to the next screen it shuts down & constantly tries to start itself again & keeps on doing this until the battery goes flat or you take out the battery manually. ( taking battery out and putting it back in won’t fix this when this particular problem starts) the only way to get phone to start up again is to connect it to the charger, & then it turns on correctly. this happens no matter how much charge is showing on my battery at 87, 79, 60, 50, 34, % battery, even 97% charged (i did buy a new battery & also tried afriends battery, no difference.. however this problem rarely happens when on charger. to be fair though i cant put it in my pocket when on charger. also the phone seems to run hot i get about 30 minutes of browsing time before it shuts down on a good day, but then again on the charger sometimes hours before it gets hot. i have also noticed on battery if using the phone justs calls & texts & very little browsing, it only has about 2 to 4 hours,  life from 100% battery.& only 20 to 30 minutes max browsing on a good day. before shutting down, again no matter hour much battery life is left. even from fully charged with phone just on, no use whatsoever battery will last only 6 to 10 hours before drained. sometimes on odd occasions, i have noticed the phone gets hot & battery drained without any use,  in 2 hours, without any  use lately i have also noticed if the phone gets a little bump e.g putting it on the table the last cm when you release the phone.  it shuts off at times. it’s like having a temperamental little baby, which is a real shame when working its a fantastic phone, it’s fast, have noticed any lags, but cant put it in my pocket, don’t know when it’s going to shut down, & so unreliable, im only using it now around the house or on the charger. any help you could give  would be greatly appreciated.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to remove the microSD card ( if one is installed) then perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this is most likely caused by a hardware component that is failing to work properly. You will need to bring this phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Not Turning On After Drop

Problem: Hi, My Samsung J7 cell phone accidentally fell from my pocket while sitting in a monoblock chair during seminar. When I pick it up it’s off and doesn’t open anymore. I tried to charge the phone after letting it rest overnight but it’s not charging either. What could be the damage it caused to the cellphone? What should I do next? Anticipating for your immediate response regarding my concern. Thank you very much.

Solution: Try pressing the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If the issue persists then it looks like the drop might have damaged the battery or has loosened the connection between the battery and the motherboard. You need to bring this phone to a service center and have it checked.

J7 Wi-Fi Button Disabled

Problem: My samsung J7 wont connect to wifi or bluetooth. The buttons are disabled and never turn on. I have tried clearing cache, factory reset twice and it still won’t work. Please help

Solution: If a factory reset fails to fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a damaged Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
