J5 Takes Too Long To Charge
Problem: Hi I have samsung galaxy j5 I have a problem with the phone that it takes about 7_8 hours to charge but still not full charge I try all the solution that is said in your website but still the problem is not fixed please help me to solve it thanks
Solution: If you have already followed our recommended troubleshooting steps for this problem and the issue still persists then the problem could be caused by a faulty battery. The good thing is that this phone has a removable battery so all you need to do is to buy a new one and replace the battery. Before doing this make sure that you have already performed the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Try charging the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the problem still occurs.
J5 Battery Drains Quickly
Problem: My phone will only hold a charge for five or ten minutes before it completely drops the charge and shuts off. I have swapped out the battery which didn’t help. It is rather inconvenient to have to keep it on the charger all the time.
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to check if a software glitch is causing the battery to drain quickly. To do this just backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If the battery still drains quickly after the reset then you should get a new battery as the one on your phone could already be faulty.
J5 Shuts Down Not Turning On After Connecting To Car Charger
Problem: My Samsung Galaxy J5 has 40% battery and i plug it ii a car cigarette/charger , suddenly it shut down and it wont turn on. it’s my first time to use that car charger.please help
Solution: What you should do right now is to remove the battery from your phone then press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear out its RAM. Once this is done reinsert the battery and turn on the phone. If you are still not getting any response from the device then charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger then turn on the phone. If it still does not turn on then the battery might have experienced a short circuit. Try replacing this battery with a new one.
J5 Wi-Fi Bluetooth Not Working
Problem: Hello everyone. My problem seems complicated. My wifi and Bluetooth don’t work, that’s likely a hardware issue, cos I have wiped and installed all versions of stock and custom roms. But the main problem is, after a while my screen freezes, touching it still sends commands to the phone but it gets stuck at a particular screen until I lock and unlock again, then I’d see the command I gave it while it froze. After a few minutes, it freezes again. I have to keep locking, and unlocking and it keeps freezing but my touch is sending commands to the phone software. I don’t know if it is a hardware issue.
Solution: Since you have already tried flashing the phone with a stock and custom ROM which doesn’t fix the problem then it’s very likely that the Wi-Fi chip of the phone is already faulty. The screen issue that you are experiencing could be caused by a faulty digitizer. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J5 Screen Blacks Out After Phone Got Wet
Problem: Hey, I have the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017. It rained quite heavily today so I put my phone into a pocket in my bag but it still got quite wet as the pocket was slightly open. Everything worked fine for a little while, maybe an hour or two, but then the display just kept going off. LIke the screen just blacks out but my phone is still working? I know this because I can hear the locking sound when I click the power button. I’ve put my phone in safe mode, did a soft reset and this issue still occurs. I don’t know what to do! It happens every 2 minutes or so and I have to leave it alone for a while for it to go back to normal but even then it reoccurs after a couple minutes of use. Please help! Thanks
Solution: Since your phone got wet the best thing to do right now is to place it in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. Once this is done try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as your phone could already be water damaged.
J5 Can’t Update Phone Software
Problem: Hello i have a problem with updating my phone. So i have looked at everything on the Internet about it and nothing. My problem is when i go to about device in settings it says go to about device when i click on that it should say software update first thing at the top but mine doesn’t.
Solution: It’s possible that your phone is running on a custom software. The best thing to do right now to get the latest update for your device is to manually flash the updated custom firmware file. You can download the file from the Sammobile website which is also where you can get the instructions on how to flash your phone.
