An official Samsung Galaxy J teaser video is now available online, giving consumers a preview of what to expect from the upcoming smartphone. Just fit, just fast, just elegant, just simple, and just for you are some of the phrases that Samsung want to associate with the handset in the teaser video.
Samsung does not reveal too many details about the device in the clip. That said, the video does showcase some of the handset’s aesthetic properties. These include a slim profile and what appears to be a brushed-metallic finish on the phone’s rear plate.
These details aren’t very surprising, as the device is already available, albeit exclusively, to Japanese consumers. Interestingly, the eagle-eyed reporters at Engadget have spotted that the model number inscribed on the side of the device in the teaser video matches that of the handset that is exclusive to the Japanese market. Said smartphone has the model number Samsung SGH-N075 Galaxy J SC-02F. It also comes with a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 441 pixels, Gorilla Glass 3, a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, and Adreno 330 GPU. Also onboard are 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage capacity, support for both LTE and LTE-A connectivity, a user-removable 2600 mAh battery, and a 20-megapixel main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The device is said to be a mix of the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 in terms of its specifications.
It is still unknown whether the international version of the Samsung Galaxy J will pack these very same features and specifications. However, it is expected that the device will still be offer a combination of the features of the Galaxy S4 and the Note 3. We won’t have to wait too long, though, to know what the Samsung Galaxy J would offer. Its unveiling, per the teaser video, will happen tomorrow, December 9, at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
