Play Store Music And Movies Headed To Google TV Devices In The UK, France And Germany

A lot of users of Google TV have been without the Play Store Music and Movies overseas. Good news for you guys over yonder, Google has announced the impending availability for Google TV users in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada and Australia. Starting on November 13th, users of the device in these countries will now have the ability to rent or purchase movies, along with the ability to browse hundreds of thousands of songs on Google Play. It’s about time, eh?

This news is great for both parties — the consumer and Google — considering that Google will now be able to charge their customers internationally for these services and the fact that the consumer now has Play Store Movies with their Google TV. There isn’t any official word from Google as to why it has taken so long for this content to make its way to international countries, but I can definitely say that the sometimes annoying license agreements had a part to play in the massive delay. Regardless, Play Movies and Music is going to be here very soon for some of you. Now you can finally take advantage of Google Play Movies on your Google TV and watch some great movies!

Some reports are saying that renting or buying movies on Play Store Movies is just as much as buying a physical Blu-Ray copy, which might prove to be a problem for Google. Again, this probably has to deal with license agreements, but surely Google would work something out to get it cheaper than an actual physical copy, no?

All of this said, what movies or music are you looking forward to seeing? Sound off in the comments below!
