It goes without saying that one area which android devices need to up their game to satisfy the ever growing fanatics and users is gaming.  Although there are some of the most amazing games released for Android already, devices still have a long way to go to catch up with other platforms.  The good thing is that most devices released of late have high end features including powerful dual processors, large memory (RAM and Secondary storage), top of the range GPUs and High Definition screen.

The limitations of playing games on a touchscreen device will soon be a thing of the past, thanks to ingenious brains at Nyko that came up with a hardware game controller.  The PlayPad is a gaming accessory not expected to be included with the phone or tablet because of portability but they are designed to work specifically with Android OS.

PlayPad is a creation of Nyko in collaboration with NVIDIA.  Nyko is a Los Angeles-based company that has been designing and making gaming accessories for over 15 years now.  The newly developed Android game controllers are expected to be released this fall and will feature full support as well as special customization for NVIDIA Tegra-based smartphones and tablets.

The controllers will come in 2 variants: the PlayPad Pro which is a full-sized accessory that will give the user “home gaming experience” with two analog sticks, face buttons, D-Pad and shoulder bumpers and triggers; and PlayPad which is designed for portability but comes with only two analog sliders, a carrying case and a collapsible tablet stand.  We do not know how much the PlayPad will weigh but official photos show it is a pretty slick gaming accessory.
