New leak compares the Samsung Galaxy Alpha with the iPhone 5s

Galaxy Alpha

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha leaks are increasing in frequency ahead of the unveiling next week. Earlier today, we came across leaked UA Prof materials suggesting that the device would make its way to AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S. And this latest leak tells us a bit about the size and the compactness of the device, compared next to the Apple iPhone 5s.

With a side-by-side comparison, it is clear that the Galaxy Alpha is significantly thinner than the iPhone 5s, telling us a bit about the smartphone’s form factor. The iPhone 5s sports a thickness of 7.6mm, which is easily one of the slimmest going around today among top end flagships. So for the Galaxy Alpha to compete with that is a commendable feat.

Another image reveals that the smartphone will feature speakers on the bottom and not the back like in current Samsung flagships. Overall, it’s clear from these images that the Korean manufacturer has paid close attention to the design of the smartphone, which could prove to be a key selling point when it hits the markets.

The smartphone is expected to pack a 4.7 inch 720p Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel camera on the back, the octa core Exynos chipset and a 1,850 mAh battery with Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
