Multiple classic EA games removed from the Play Store

Electronic Arts - EA Logo

#EA has just removed some of the classic mobile games like Real Racing, Flight ControlNeed for Speed Shift and many others from the #PlayStore. Those who have already downloaded the games will be able to play it as usual, but just won’t be able to get any future updates as they’re ceasing development altogether.

In the company’s words – “focusing our efforts on developing new and exciting titles, as well as bringing new content and updates to existing popular games.”

Here is the entire list of games that EA is removing from the Play Store:

  • Bejeweled 2
  • Burnout Crash!
  • Dead Space
  • Don’t Fall Off
  • Flight Control
  • Flight Control Rocket
  • Fly With Me
  • Lemonade Tycoon
  • Mass Effect Infiltrator
  • MMA by EA Sports
  • Need for Speed Shift
  • Real Racing
  • Sims Medieval by EA
  • Skate It by EA
  • Spore Creatures
  • Spore Origins
  • SPY Mouse

It’s quite disheartening to see EA removing some of these games, but at the same time, we understand the company’s sentiment to shift focus on newer content. What do you make of this news?
