Motorola launches Moto G 4G running Android 5.0 Lollipop

Moto G 4G

The Lenovo owned Motorola has just announced a new 4G version of the 2014 Moto G running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The smartphone is available for purchase immediately in Brazil, although we expect it to arrive in other markets subsequently.

The 2014 Moto G was a pretty popular device in Latin Americas, Asia and European markets, so it is likely that Motorola will gradually unveil this new variant in those markets as well. Latin American countries have an ever growing demand for midrange/feature rich smartphones, so it’s no surprise that Motorola has decided to launch the handset first in Brazil.

Specs wise we’re looking at a 5 inch 720p display, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, a 2,390 mAh battery and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop running by default. Motorola only recently started the rollout of Android 5.0 for the Moto G.

Pricing has been set at 899 Brazilian Real or $337, which seems to be a little on the higher side for a budget device.
