Modern Combat 5 arrives in the Play Store for $6.99

Modern Combat 5: Blackout

Modern Combat 5: Blackout has finally arrived on the Google Play Store after being announced earlier this month. The developer Gameloft received a setback when the apk file containing the game was leaked prematurely on the internet. Gameloft will put that behind them and hope the latest in the Modern Combat franchise continues to surpass expectations.

The interesting bit with Modern Combat 5 is the complete lack of IAPs or in-app purchases. This essentially means that the game is a standard first-person shooter and gameplay will remain the same no matter who’s playing it. This also explains why the developer is charging $6.99 for the game, which is considered quite steep for a game.

Gameloft claims that the gameplay will be seamless and users can interact with their friends with a series of multiplayer missions. And to keep track of your progress, the game needs to be connected to the internet at all times, so make a note of that if you’re looking to download the game.
