Before performing any of the recommended troubleshooting steps listed below it’s best to restart your computer and router first. This action refreshes the operating system and removes any corrupt temporary data that could be causing the problem.

Check the time and date

The first thing you will need to do in this case is to make sure that your computer has the correct time and date. If this is not set correctly then you will not only have issues accessing the Microsoft Store but also certain websites.

  • Right-click on the time in the bottom-right of the screen and select

    Adjust Date/Time.

  • A window will open. On the left side of the window select the Date & time tab. Then, under

    “Change date and time”

    click Change. Both Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically must be Off to make this change.

  • Enter the time and press Change
  • The system time has been updated.
