LG Optimus G2 Possible Leaked Photo [rumor]

Evleaks, with twitter handle @evleaks, is at it again.  Posting a photo on Facebook which  shows a curious photo of a new LG device.  Through process of elimination from LG’s rumored pipeline, we could be looking at the rumored LG Optimus G2, the rumored successor to one of the most successful LG smartphones in recent years.  Other candidates could be another future Nexus device for Google.

LG Optimus G2 Speculation on Dimension and Screen Size

So what can we infer about this device from this photo?  We took evleaks’ alleged LG Optimus G2 photo, and added our own assumptions to get a dimension size of roughly 2.5 inches x 5 inches, that would also suggest about a 5.5 inch viewable area diagonally.  This is assuming that the LG Optimus G2 will be charged using the USB 2.0 cord, like the predecessor Optimus G.

In the photo, we noticed what appeared to be a USB charger attached to the bottom of the device, we then added our measurement of a typical USB charging cord to estimate the dimensions.  These are rough estimates, but if the details check out, our estimates should not be too far off.

What do you think? Is this the LG Optimus G2?

  1. If you are right about it being 5.5 inches (and I think you are), then I have a few thoughts. First, this can’t be a device for the may 30th announcement as they just came out with the G Pro. second, I can’t see it being a G2 at 5.5 inches. Finally, its too early for this to replace the nexus 4. Consequently, here is my prediction.

This is the nexus 5, not as a replacement, but as a complement. This is a new nexus line. The nexus phablet.

FYI, before I found this article, I did attempted to find the size of the phone the same as you. However, I used the top speaker. It appears to be the same as the G Pro. Consequently, my guess is this will be almost the same specs as the G Pro. Hopefully with wireless charging though.

  2. After being my experience with a launch week T-Mo G2x, there is no chance I’ll own another LG product.

    No chance.
