Leaked Log Files Confirm Core Nexus 5 Specs

Google’s Nexus is highly anticipated to be one of the finest pieces of technology ever made – we even did a feature to show just what some of the top reasons why this 5 incher will smoke its competition including Samsung’s galaxy S4, LG’s G2 and Apple’s iPhone 5S.  What is more interesting is that every day we get a little piece of information about Google’s next high end smartphone and today, just a few hours after we learnt that Nexus could support nano SIM cards, we may have come across proof of some of the core Nexus 5 Specs.

Nexus 5 log

Log files detailing a KRS74h version of Android 4.4 KitKat surfaced over the weekend and AndroidWorld.it took the opportunity to go through the log files to find all information there is regarding the device it is running on.  Nexus 5, if you are not up to date, is Google’s next smartphone on the Nexus family and is modeled after LG’s flagship smartphone LG G2.  The folks at Android World in Italy managed to dig out some core specs of Nexus 5 and published them on their site https://www.androidworld.it.

Core specs

All these specs are pretty much a confirmation of the specifications we had seen in various leaked documents, but here they are:

Processor: 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800

Display: 4.97 inch Full HD 1080 x 1900 pixels

Memory: 2 GB RAM, 16 GB onboard memory (32 GB or 63 GB variants possible)

Cameras: 8 megapixels rear and 1.2 megapixels front

Sensors: magnetometer, light, proximity, barometer, accelerometer, gyroscope and orientation

Battery: 2,300 mAh (according to FCC data)

Google’s Nexus is expected to be the first device to come with the latest version of Android, 4.4 KitKat, and most of us are very excited about it.  The guys at Android World also confirmed that Nexus 5 will be coming with NFC on board and will support a wide range of LTE bands to make it usable on almost if not all carriers.

The report also points at some ‘anomalies’ in the logs that show the device’s operating system or the device has issues that LG and Google will address before the device is launched on August 10th.  Although it is based on the design and build of LG G2, the logs in question show a device more of Nexus 4 than LG G2 and it is expected to bring numerous changes that will make it better than the competition.  Learn more about its benchmark results here https://thedroidguy.com/2013/09/nexus-5-spotted-antutu-database-surprisingly-low-score-hoax-real-deal/.

  1. 2300 mah battery seems a bit small. hopefully it will be bigger unless android 4.4 brings tremendous improvement on the battery life.
