Landscape screenshot of the LG G3 shows off floating widgets

Galaxy S5 Landscape

The LG G3 has been revealed to be capable of doing many things as rumors and leaks have indicated. But today we’re getting an even deeper look at the smartphone courtesy of a screenshot leaked out by Evleaks. This screen-grab is reportedly from the G3 when used in landscape orientation and shows us the floating widgets being used.

The name of Chloe Moretz showing up on the call notification indicates that the company could sign a deal with the teenage movie star to endorse the flagship.

We’re yet to confirm if this is actually from the LG G3, but since there are no other LG devices which can do the following, we’re bound to believe it is.

The floating widget shown here is of an incoming call, which will basically let you know when there’s a call in a small window rather than using the entire screen. This can be useful if you’re in the middle of a video or an intense gaming session. We’ve seen Samsung introduce this feature with its recent devices as well, so it’s not new by any means.

If you’re wondering why there’s so much space on the homescreen, it’s because the G3 utilizes a 5.5 inch display, which can be quite large compared to a regular smartphone, especially in landscape mode. We’ll hope to get more clarification on this particular feature and a whole lot more when the smartphone breaks cover later this month.

  1. I’m pretty certain this is a G Pad UI picture, not the G3. The G Pad featured Q Pair where notifications on a linked phone show up on the tablet, this seems like a new version of Q Pair, where the tablet is receiving the call notification and can answer straight from the tablet.
