HTC One Now Up for Pre-Order On Clove UK

The HTC One is fresh from yesterday’s announcement, and we have some spicy details emerging on the device. Well, the fancy new HTC flagship has been put up for pre-order on UK retailer Clove’s website, and interested buyers will have to pay £425 (excluding VAT for UK buyers) which comes to around $656 in American currency. Users can pre order the device and the retailer will ship the device when HTC releases stock for the same. In the announcement yesterday, it was claimed that the smartphone will be launched in March, so it will be safe to assume that we might get to see a worldwide release of the smartphone around the same time.

The retailer claims that the smartphone will be available starting from March 15, so there’s not much waiting to do. HTC has also teamed up with AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile in the U.S to bring the smartphone to the country. The smartphone is already one of the hotly expected smartphones of the year along with the Sony Xperia Z, so we won’t be surprised if the stocks run out quickly. Clove UK ships globally, so interested users outside of the UK can place orders for the device too. The price seems to be a little less than the Sony Xperia Z, but I feel the Sony smartphone offers more features compared to the HTC One. With features like Water/Dust Resistance, the Xperia Z is certainly high up on my list.

The pre order is only for the 32GB variant of the smartphone, with no info on the 64GB variant yet. The smartphone apparently will be offered in red, white and black colored variants, but for now it seems like only the white and black versions are being sold. This version of the HTC One will be unlocked and SIM free of course, so you don’t have to worry about signing a contract or renewing an existing contract. By the looks of it, the smartphone should support all the major network frequencies here in the states, including LTE, so HTC has covered all the bases in that department. If you’re looking to import the smartphone to the U.S, the standard shipping cost on DHL would set you back by £16 which is close to $25. So it seems like the HTC One is already buzzing in the internet and we expect the smartphone to do well in the coming days. BlackBerry Z10 fans would beg to differ though, for obvious reasons. Do you plan on getting the smartphone yourself, or would you prefer waiting till the American carriers have it? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
