HTC Desire 820 Mini inadvertently revealed by the company

HTC Desire 820 Mini

HTC has accidentally revealed the existence of the Desire 820 Mini smartphone through its website. The device was spotted on the company’s Chinese online store and has since been taken down, leaving no doubt that this is indeed a real device. Oddly, this “mini” variant of the Desire 820 is shown to be packing a 5 inch display, which is not small by any stretch of the imagination.

The handset will reportedly feature a 720p resolution display, a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and most likely Android 4.4.4. The Desire 820 Mini has been priced at 1399 CNY ($228), so it’s certainly not going to be heavy on the customers’ wallets. There’s no word on whether the smartphone will remain an exclusive for the Chinese market or if HTC will be willing to launch it globally.

Considering that the device was already listed on the company’s website, we don’t think it would take long for HTC to launch it. What do you think about the Desire 820 Mini?
