How To Fix Vivo Y93s Can’t Send MMS Issue

Before doing the recommended troubleshooting steps for this problem it’s best to make sure that the phone is running on the latest software version. If an update is available then I suggest that you download and install it first. Once the phone has been updated it’s time to proceed with the steps listed below.

Most carriers will usually require two things from your phone in order for it to be able to send and receive an MMS. First, it must have an active mobile data subscription and that it is getting a strong mobile data signal, preferably LTE. Second, it should have the correct APN settings. Since these settings are unique for each carrier you should compare your phone APN settings to what your carrier is using and make the necessary changes if needed. You can get your carrier APN settings from their website or you can also get it by calling their customer service hotline.

In case both conditions are met by your phone then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

Perform a soft reset

The first thing you will need to do is to refresh the phone software which can be done easily by simply restarting the device. Although this is usually done on an unresponsive device this will also work in this case.

  • Press and hold the Power and Volume down key for up to 45 seconds.
  • Wait as the device restarts.

Check if the issue still occurs.

Start the phone in Safe Mode

Sometimes an app you downloaded will cause the Vivo Y93s can’t send MMS issue when it is installed. This usually happens if the app has bugs or has compatibility issues with the phone. To check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem you will have to start the phone in Safe Mode as only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run in this mode.

  • Turn off the phone
  • Press power button to turn on phone then long press on the volume down key when the Vivo logo appears
  • The phone should now boot in Safe Mode.

In case the issue does not occur in this mode then there’s a chance that this is caused an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

Wipe the cache partition of the phone

There are cases when the cached data stored in the dedicated partition of the phone can become corrupted. When this happens this this will usually cause certain issues to occur on the phone. To eliminate the possibility that this is what’s causing the problem you will have to wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.

  • Press and hold the Volume Down + Power key together for a short while.
  • Release all buttons when Fastboot Mode appears.
  • In this mode select “Recovery”. Use Volume Down to navigate and the Power key to confirm that.
  • Press the volume key to highlight the Wipe cache option then the power key to select it
  • Use the volume keys to go to “reboot system now” and press the power key.

Check if the issue still occurs.

Perform a factory reset

In case the above steps fails to fix the Vivo Y93s can’t send MMS issue then it’s likely that this is caused by a system glitch. The best way to deal with this right now is to perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

  • Press and hold the Volume Down + Power key together for a short while.
  • Release all buttons when Fastboot Mode appears.
  • In this mode select “Recovery”. Use Volume Down to navigate and the Power key to confirm that.
  • Press the volume key to highlight the “wipe data / factory reset” and press the power button to enter. A screen with many NOs and a YES will appear, with the volume keys again go to the YES and press with the power key.
  • Use the volume keys to go to “reboot system now” and press the power key.

Setup the phone making sure that it has the correct APN settings then try sending an MMS.
