Google Starts Celebrating April Fools Early With Pac-Man

April Fools Day isn’t until April 1st, but Google has started their jokes early. Starting now, you can turn most streets in a real-life version of the popular video game Pac-Man.

When you browse Google Maps on the desktop, or in the most recent version of the app for iOS and Android, there will be an icon in the shape of Pac-Man. Once you click it, if that area has enough space, you will be able to play the game.

When Google changed their homepage in 2010, it caused over $120 million in lost worker productivity the day it was active. So it remains to be seen if this joke has the same effect.
