Com.google.process.gapps Stopped Working
I have been experiencing a error message on my Samsung galaxy s3 and I would like some advice on how to fix the problem. The message that keep occurring is : .COM GOGGLE G APP has stop working. Unfortunately this message keeps appearing every time I close an app. Can you please help me.
This problem occurs when the com.google.process.gapps service stops or was stopped forcibly due to software conflict, poor performance or eve server errors. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy S3, it is more of a software conflict than anything else. There were actually a lot of reports before related to this and while users have their own way of going around this problem, nothing beats the official software update. However, we no update is available, this is what you’re to do:
- From the Home screen, press the Menu button and choose Settings.
- Scroll down to and tap Application Manager.
- Touch on “All” tab to display all apps and services in the device.
- Find and tap on Download Manager.
- Inside the settings page of the Download Manager, tap on Enable button to turn it on.
Note: If it’s already enabled, try to clear its data, disable it and reboot your phone. After go back to the same page and enable it back so the phone will have a set of data cached into its memory.
One of XDA developers we’ve asked about this problem said that the Download Manager is just one of the services that may cause this problem. The com.google.process.gapps service actually supports several apps including Gmail, Play Store, Browser, and almost every app that comes native with the device. When there is one app or service that’s disabled, the problem occurs.
Fortunately, finding the app and enabling would solve the problem.
