CTIA: Quick Look At The Samsung Stratosphere

While here at CTIA Enterprise & Applications in San Diego CA we got to spend a few minutes with the forthcoming Samsung Stratosphere on Verizon Wireless.

The Samsung Stratosphere is an Android device running 2.3.4 “Gingerbread” and it features a 5 row slide out qwerty keyboard. It’s also the first phone to feature a qwerty keyboard on Verizon’s 4G/LTE network.

It also features a 4″ superAMOLED screen, 5 mega pixel camera on the rear that can shoot HD video in 720p. It features a 1.3 mega pixel camera in the front for video chatting over 3G, 4G or wifi. ¬†It can be used as a mobile hotspot for up to 8 devices on 4G/LTE and 5 devices on 3g.

The Stratosphere is also enhanced for B2B and enterprise applications. It features B2B enabled connectivity service from Cisco, Microsoft Exchange Active Sync, and secure remote device management from Sybase. The Stratosphere also supports the entire Samsung Entterprise Suite.

It looks like a rock solid device and it will only cost $149.99 on a new 2 year agreement starting October 13th.
