5 Best Tablets Running Android Nougat 7.0 and Higher in 2019

Google’s Android operating system is one of the most popular in the world right now. Given that there are products from a variety of manufacturers, there are hundreds of devices for any given Android version.

Google unveiled Android 7.0 Nougat last year, as the successor to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. While it’s almost been a year since Google announced the new Android update, it’s still not seen on all Android tablets. There are some tablets that come with Android 7.0 by default, however, and today we’ll discuss some of them today.

Android 7.0 brings a number of new features to the table, including improved notifications, a slightly revamped UI and better onboard security against malware. Some devices mentioned on this list will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, but will be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat shortly. Be sure to have a closer look at all these tablets.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7

This Samsung offering comes with Android 7.0 by default, so you don’t have to worry about having to update it manually. This means the OS comes with all the standard Android 7.0 features along with some Samsung specific features.

As for other hardware attributes, the Galaxy Tab S3 comes with a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 Super AMOLED display, the quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 6,000 mAh battery. The tablet also comes with a fingerprint scanner, and a USB C port which allows for faster charging and data transfer. Samsung also offers a stylus along with the tablet to let you draw your own sketches and generate creative content. One of the key highlights of the tablet is that it comes with 6mm thick body, which is pretty astonishing despite the kind of hardware it’s packing under the hood.

The Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 is currently selling for $597.99 via Amazon. Despite being a well packed tablet, the handset is slightly on the expensive side. However, you can never put a price tag on quality.

Lenovo Tab 4 10

Lenovo makes some of the best smartphones and tablets. The best part about their products is that they’re extremely economical despite packing high-end hardware on board. The Tab 4 10 comes with Android 7.0 on board, and is accompanied by a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 display, a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, and a 7,000 mAh battery.

Since this is a mid-ranged tablet, the Tab 4 10 comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. While these won’t necessarily break camera records, it will certainly be sufficient for video calls and regular photographs. The tablet also comes with Dolby Atmos audio enhancement by default, so the customers can expect to find decent performance from the onboard cameras.

Since it’s an Android offering, you have the liberty to download pretty much any app. The fact that it comes with a large display means it’s a perfectly suitable offering for multimedia content and games. You can get the Lenovo Tab 4 10 for just $179.99, which makes this one of the cheapest Android 7.0 Nougat tablet in the market today.

ZenPad 3S 10

As we mentioned earlier, not all new tablets come with Android 7.0 by default. For such tablets, the manufacturers offer an update, which can be grabbed as soon as the device is booted for the first time. The new update can be spotted in the Settings page of your device. So even if you don’t get the full Nougat experience by default, you can choose to update whenever you want.

The tablet also comes with a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536, 32/64GB of expandable storage, 4GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 5,900 mAh battery. The device also comes with DTS HD sound on board, so you can expect pretty impressive performance from the onboard speakers and with headphones as well. Powering the device is a hexa-core Mediatek MT8176 chipset. There’s a fingerprint scanner and a USB C port on board as well.

The tablet will set you back by just $289 via Amazon right now. Considering the kind of feature set that it comes with, plus the software, the ZenPad 3S 10 is certainly one of the best tablets in this price range.

NVIDIA Shield K1

This tablet packs the best of NVIDIA, and offers the best experience for the customers. The device comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop, but can be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat shortly after booting the device for the first time. In terms of raw hardware, the device comes with the quad-core 2.2 GHz Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset accompanied by the ULP GeForce Kepler GPU for advanced graphics performance.

The phone also comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, 16GB of expandable storage, 2GB of RAM, and a 5,200 mAh battery. The phone comes with an 8-inch 1920 x 1200 resolution display, so you can be assured of getting the best experience from this device. Since the tablet is expected to be used with bigger displays, it comes with an HDMI port by default. This is a feature that’s quite rare among modern day tablets.

Unfortunately, the tablet is currently unavailable from Amazon, although we expect it to be available pretty soon. The tablet should be sold for under $300 when it is made available.

Google Pixel C

Launched almost two years ago, the Pixel C comes with a 10.2-inch 2560 x 1800 resolution display on board. Given that it comes from Google, it comes with the latest and greatest version of Android. Although it was launched with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the phone can now be updated to Android 7.1.2 Nougat.

Given the massive stature of the device, it can be easily used as a productivity and multimedia oriented tablet. It comes with a quad-core 1.9 GHz Tegra K1 SoC, coupled with the NVIDIA Maxwell GPU for optimum performance. It comes in 64 and 32GB storage variants, with 3GB of RAM. The device also comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera, and a 9,240 mAh battery.

The Google Pixel C appears to be in short supply right now, although Amazon currently has it on offer for $589.99. This might seem a bit expensive, but given the kind of features it comes with, the pricing seems justified.

5 Best Galaxy Tab S4 Alternative In 2019

Samsung is trying hard to bridge the gap between computer and tablet with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. The Tab S4 comes equipped with 2-in-1 style hardware, giving you a keyboard to use with the tablet right out of the box. That said, the Galaxy Tab S4 can easily be used in laptop or tablet formation, whatever fits best for the moment. However, there aren’t a lot of folks that like that 2-in-1 style, and we totally get it. So, if you want the luxury experience of the Galaxy Tab S4, but without the 2-in-1 hardware style, what do you do? Lucky for you, there are tons of alternatives out there. Here are our top picks.

Galaxy Tab S4 Alternative

Apple iPad Pro

The best alternative to the Galaxy Tab S4 is easily the Apple iPad Pro. This 12.9-inch tablet is packed with great hardware, including a secondary motion co-processor to make movements with the Apple Pencil more fluid and natural. This is a massive tablet, but it makes it the perfect size for professional trying to do presentations and for using business apps (e.g. Excel, Word, etc). Sound professionals might find it more useful for heavy soundboard software, and those who buy the Apple Pencil with it will love its note-taking capabilities and support for artists and designers. On top of that, the iPad Pro has an absolutely massive battery, allowing for a few days of use for even heavy users on the tablet all the time. If you’re looking to get powerful hardware and luxury in a tablet, look no further than the iPad Pro.

Huawei MediaTab M5

Huawei is known for its smartphones, either for “copying” what Apple is doing or for offering cutting edge technology itself. That said, Huawei’s tablets often fly under the radar, but the MediaTab M5 isn’t one you want to pass up. This is a luxury tablet through and through with its gorgeous industrial design. It’s got some beautiful speakers packed in it, and the 10.8-inch display is nothing short of gorgeous. Yet, it’s still a slim tablet for compact and easy portability. Packed inside is Huawei’s own Kirin 960 processor, which is a powerhouse that flies through apps and games no problem. If you want a luxury Galaxy Tab S4 replacement, this is it.

Buy it now: Amazon

ASUS ZenPad 3S

We’re big fans of the ZenPad 3S as well. This is a sleek looking tablet with a 9.7-inch high definition display. You have a hefty processor setup — a dual-core and a quad-core — for doing the heavy lifting, and then 4GB of RAM for your multitasking needs. 64GB of space gives you plenty of room for photos, videos, apps, and games. The ZenPad 3S can even be used well with a stylus, if you so choose.

Buy it now: Amazon

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3

Maybe the Galaxy Tab S4 is just way too expensive for your budget. Brand new, the tablet does come in at a whole $650. That’s insanely expensive, and not money everyone wants to put out on a mere tablet. That said, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 — the previous generation — is still a very good tablet with high end hardware. The tablet is able to handle just about anything you throw at it, and it even comes with a stylus to make different tasks easier, such as navigating through presentations or long Excel documents. It still has a big, reliable battery, so getting a few days of juice out of this tablet isn’t a problem either. It really is still a great tablet, and with the Galaxy Tab S4 launching everywhere, prices are going to continue to be free falling depending on where you’re looking at buying it from.

Buy it now: Amazon

Google Nexus 9

Samsung is a prolific maker of smartphones and tablets, arguably one of the best makers in the Android market right now; however, not everyone is a fan of the bloated TouchWiz experience. So, maybe you’re looking for something that’s a little more lightweight. The Google Nexus 9 will help you with just that, providing you with the stock Android experience in a tablet. Android, as the way it was supposed to be, they say. It’s got the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor setup, so heavy applications and high-end games aren’t a problem for the Nexus 9. 2GB of RAM makes multi-tasking easy, and a large battery will give you juice for days on end. It’s also got a 9-inch high definition display, perfect for viewing movies and TV. Check it out for yourself at the link below.

Verdict

The Galaxy Tab S4 might not be attractive with its 2-in-1 style, but these other tablets on this list are great replacements that offer luxury and top hardware all in one package.

Best cheap 10 inch Android tablets available today

Are Android tablets on their sure way to extinction, caught in an inescapable chokehold by rapidly soaring phablets and slowly recovering conventional Windows PCs? Hard to cast a definitive verdict, but even Apple’s mighty iPads seem to be losing steam, as iPhones close the size gap.

Woman with tablet

What’s crystal clear is Google-endorsed slates have trouble standing out without an obvious, compelling selling point. The superior productivity of laptops can’t be denied, and convertible models are no longer significantly bulkier than, say, your average 10-inch slate.

Meanwhile, there are 5.5, 6-inch, even 6.4-inch “handhelds” around that can essentially do whatever a 7-inch tab is capable of, plus make and receive voice calls. Game over for Galaxy Tabs, Amazon Fires, G Pads, Asus ZenPads, and so on, and so forth? Not so fast, given some of those still hide an important ace up their sleeve.

Namely, extreme affordability, combined with a footprint phablets don’t come close to… just yet. Yes, dear readers and friends, the best budget 10-inch Android tablets on the market today should stay in the spotlight a while longer, and tempt you with their quality-pricing ratios, generous screen real estate, and in a few cases, remarkable versatility.

Lenovo Tab A10 – $240 (Bluetooth keyboard included)

The first product featured on our list of best inexpensive 10-inch tablets is not necessarily the absolute best, but it’s the costliest, when you factor in the companion keyboard cover accessory. Without it, the first-gen A10 doesn’t look great on paper, sporting mediocre 1,280 x 800 display resolution, and packing humdrum quad-core MediaTek 8121 power.

Lenovo Tab A10

But you have to consider the ensemble’s economical price when judging its specs, and at least appreciate the 8-hour battery life, 16 GB internal storage space, microSD support, dual front-facing stereo speakers, and relatively slim design. On the not so bright side, you’re offered an ancient Android iteration out the box, 4.4 KitKat, and 1 gig of RAM hardly makes this a multitasking champ.

Asus Transformer Pad TF103C-A1 (keyboard bundle) – $233

Another 4.4-running 2-in-1 machine, the TF103C further ups the endurance ante, to close to 10 hours, and likely improves raw speed as well, thanks to an Intel Atom Bay Trail Z3745 CPU. At 545 grams, keyboard not included, the Transformer Pad is no featherweight, but it’s decently robust, and more importantly, comes with over $270 worth of free content and services.

Asus TF103C

Before you yell crapware, let us mention Asus gives you 500 gigs of complimentary WebStorage cloud depository for two years, in addition to a 16 GB ROM and microSD card slot. Even the six gratis mini-subscriptions to your favorite magazines out of a very generous library sound pretty enticing.

Amazon Fire HD 10 – $230

It has barely gone on sale, and so, it’s untested at the moment, but the closer-to-stock-than-ever Android user interface alone makes it an attractive prospective purchase. It’s also the thinnest Fire family member to date, at 7.7 mm, and yet, it still vows to last a solid 8 hours between charges.

Fire HD 10

Like all Amazon products, the Fire HD 10 is ideal for e-book reading first and foremost, though the on-board Dolby Atmos audio system means listening to music is always an option. And the 1,280 x 800 display isn’t that bad, delivering decent HD video content.

HP Slate S10 – $200

Is the Palo Alto-based computer giant really so delusional that it believes an affordable 10-inch tablet can actually sell in 2015 loaded with decrepit 4.2 Jelly Bean software “treats”, and powered by a dual-core Marvell SoC?

HP Slate S10

Technically, HP isn’t the one charging two Benjamins through Amazon for this Beats Audio-armed bag of mediocrity. It’s a third-party merchant, which had better consider a discount if it wants to clear lingering inventory. Make it $150, and maybe, just maybe, the 9-hour promised autonomy, 5 and 2 MP cameras, and 16 GB ROM will justify the buy.

LG G Pad 10.1 – $199

Forget archaic OS builds, obscure processors, and questionable aesthetic choices. The 10-inch G Pad was released on 4.4 KitKat, then recently upgraded to 5.0 Lollipop, it’s fashionable and slender, and the quad-core chip under the hood is a speedy, respected Snapdragon 400.

LG G Pad 10.1

Even better, the 8,000 mAh cell is massive, the 5 MP rear cam above-average, given the price range, the stereo speakers loud and sharp, and proprietary LG software add-ons like Knock Code, dual window and Q pair 2.0 destined to enrich your user experience.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10 – $179

Lenovo Tab 2 A10

Want the best all-around cheap 10-inch tablet in the world? This is probably it, with a Full HD (1,920 x 1,200) IPS LCD screen in tow, 64-bit quad-core 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT8165 SoC, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, 10-hour battery, 8 and 5 MP snappers, immersive Dolby audio, 8.9 mm profile, 74 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a planned update to Android 5.0 Lollipop for the near future.

Discounted from its $200 MSRP, the Tab 2 A10 would likely be worth as much as $280, if tablet sales weren’t hurting so badly on a global scale.

Asus ZenPad 10 – $159

Asus ZenPad 10

The least pricey tab on our roster is clearly not the worst pick, since it also features 2 gigs of random-access memory, Lollipop goodies, a quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom CPU, sleek aluminum finish, lightweight 1.1 pound design, 16 GB local data hoarding room, microSD capabilities, and even 100 GB of free Google Drive cloud storage for your first two years of ZenPad ownership.

Any downsides to buying this ultra-low-cost 10 incher? A few: lousy 2 and 0.3 MP cameras, lackluster 800p panel, unremarkable sub-8-hour battery life.

Best Android Rugged Tablets For Outdoor Use in 2019

The tablet market is overflowing with devices that target just about any use case imaginable. There are tablets with very small displays and lightweight construction that are perfect as ebook readers, larger tablets with high-definition displays that are fantastic for multimedia consumption, and even convertible tablets with detachable keyboards that can be used as a full-fledged laptop replacement. However, most of these devices are not designed to withstand rough handling and outdoor use. Manufacturers expect that you will keep your tablet protected from the elements, ensure that you won’t accidentally drop it on the ground, or expose it to extreme temperatures.

Luckily, some exceptions exist, and we took our time to examine what the rugged category of tablets has to offer in order to recommend you the best rugged tablet currently available on the market. Such tablet is perfect for professionals who need to use it right on the job site, small kids who are still too clumsy to handle a regular tablet, businesses that intend to use it as a point of sale device, and just about anyone else who values durability above everything else. We have narrowed our selection down to just two tablets: one smaller and one larger. As a bonus, we also cover two great alternatives that are worth considering as well.

Samsung SM-T360N Galaxy Tab Active

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is Samsung’s first rugged tablet, designed for individuals with an active lifestyle. It was first released at the end of 2014 and is still very much relevant to this day. The 8-inch device is packed with advanced connectivity features, capable hardware, and, above all, features a very durable construction that deviates from Samsung’s typical sleek design and smooth, curved lines.

Design and Construction

We have to say that for a rugged tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a very attractive device. The black and gray design looks clean and professional, and the removable backplate, which hides the replaceable battery really makes you feel that it will survive just about everything. Indeed, the tablet is IP67 certified to be dust and water-resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes and survive up to 1.2 meters drop.

The front side resembles regular Samsung tablets: there’s a small oval speaker grill on the top and three physical navigation button on the button. The device also hides a small pen, which can be used to navigate the operating system, draw diagrams, or precisely input text. It’s also fantastic for people who have to wear protective gloves, as it allows them to keep them always on.

Display

The 8-inch TFT display has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels (189 PPI). Even though this resolution is only half of what Samsung puts in their latest devices, it’s still clear enough for comfortable everyday use. The most important aspect of this display is how easily readable it is under direct sunlight. You don’t even need to crack up the brightness to the max to see what’s on the screen. Viewing angles are equally pleasant, and your coworkers will have no problem seeing what you have to show them even if they don’t stand directly in front of the tablet.

Performance

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor and Adreno 305 GPU. This entry-level SoC (System on Chip) has never been known for being the most powerful chip out there, but it still holds surprisingly well to this day. No, you won’t be playing any latest high-fidelity 3D games on this tablet; its primary target is someone who needs to comfortably access the web, view and edit documents, take the occasional picture, and use a selection of production-oriented applications.

Battery

The built-in 4450 mAh battery can get you through the entire day of moderate to heavy use. That’s largely because of the excellent software optimization and a lower-resolution screen. If you don’t mind the extra weight, you can also pack a portable battery charger and extend its life on the go. Some newer chargers pack more than 20,000 mAh worth of battery capacity, which means that you could charge this tablet, at least, 3 times.

What’s more, the battery is removable, so you can replace it with a newer one when the original begins to lose its capacity. Replacing it during the day is somewhat cumbersome because you first need to remove the backplate held by 4 screws.

Extra Features

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active includes two cameras: 3.15 MP in the back and 1.2 MP front-facing self-portrait one. The main camera can record 720p video at 30 frames per second and has an LED flash for low-light situations. The picture quality is really nothing to brag about, and you probably won’t find yourself using any of those two cameras very often. Still, it’s nice that they are there for when you might really need to document something without having anything better that you could use.

Professionals who would like to use this tablet outdoors will be pleased to know that the built-in navigation system is among the best we have ever come across. It’s compatible with GPS and GLONASS satellites and always connects incredibly fast and the signal stays strong no matter where you are.

Verdict

If you want a small durable tablet with long battery life and enough performance to do just about anything you could realistically want from it, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a great choice.

Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A1

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A1 is an enterprise-grade rugged tablet with a 10-inch screen and impressive battery life. Needless to say, the tablet is meant for industry professionals who can bear the extra weight and thickness.

Design and Construction

This tablet is a rugged beast. Weight 952.5 g (2.10 lb) and being almost 2 cm thick, it has much more in common with smaller laptops than it does with other tablets. But make no mistake, the extra weight and size have been put to a good use, as the magnesium alloy chassis encased with ABS and elastomer received the MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certification. Simply put, you can put this device through anything and it will survive with just a few scratches.

Display

The 768 x 1024 pixels (127 pixels per inch) LCD display doesn’t impress with its resolution, but that’s because it has a few other tricks up its sleeve. For starters, the display is coated with an anti-reflective and anti-glare layer, making it easily readable under direct sunlight. Additionally, it has a special touch layer that allows owners to use styluses for precise input and signatures.

Performance

By far the biggest downside of the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A1 is the performance. Tablets and smartphones have come a very long way during the last 5 or so years and the outdated dual-core 1.2 GHz Marvell CPU simply doesn’t cope well with modern applications and heavy multitasking. Installing the latest version of Android OS would probably be a painstaking task, which cannot be recommended to anyone. The fact that there is only 1GB of RAM doesn’t help either.

Battery

The large case of this tablet hides an equally large Li-Ion 4590 mAh battery that can last an entire day. You don’t have to think twice about purchasing a used model, because you can easily remove the back cover and replace the battery by yourself.

Extra Features

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A1 features two cameras: 5 MP in the back and 2 MP in the front. Both offer a decent image quality and will work fine for the intended purposes. Just don’t expect them to reveal any details in the shot or cope well with bad lighting conditions.

Verdict

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A1 is a capable device that still has a few years of good use left in it despite its relatively old age. That’s mainly because Panasonic wisely decided to make the battery easily serviceable, thus allowing owners to virtually infinitely expend the life of this device.

Alternative 1: Samsung Galaxy Tab S with Bobj Rugged Case

One good alternative to rugged tablets is to pair a regular tablet, such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, with a durable protective case. The Bobj Rugged case has been designed specifically for the Tab S, and it helps to protect the device from shocks and drops. It’s available in 5 different colors, which means that you can match it with your company image, and the special interior cooling system ensures that your tablet will stay operational even during extremely hot summer days.

The tablet itself features a powerful Exynos 5 processor (1.9 GHz Quad Core + 1.3 GHz Quad Core) with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage space. The beautiful 10.5-inch Super AMOLED Display with 2560×1600 resolution is one of the very best that you will come across. It’s perfect for multimedia consumption, working with large documents and PDF files, and the 8 MP rear-facing camera allows you to leave your point-and-shoot camera at home.

Samsung has included some pretty great features that you won’t find anywhere else. The Multi Window feature allows you to use two applications side-by-side, which is extremely useful for referencing two documents or composing an email with the aid of information displayed using the web browser. The built-in fingerprint scanner greatly enhances the overall security of the device and guarantees that nobody can access your personal or business data. Last but not least, the large non-removable Li-Ion 7900 mAh battery can last up to 11 hours of moderately heavy use, allowing you to use the tablet without charging through the entire day.

The only downside of using the tablet inside the rugged case is that you will still have to keep it protected from the elements. This means that using it the rain or is very dusty environments could prove fatal for the device.

Alternative 2: Panasonic Toughbook 19

The Panasonic Toughbook 19 is the latest iteration of the most popular line of rugged laptops in the world. What stands behind this success is Panasonic’s ability to create an extremely reliable product that meets all dements of professionals in many different fields across the world. The laptop is jam-packed with innovative technology that you simply won’t find in any consumer-grade laptop.

Despite the slightly misleading name, the Panasonic Toughbook 19 actually has a 10.1″ LCD touch-screen display with special backlight technology that uses direct sunlight as a source of illumination, allowing it to be as bright as 6000 nits (a unit of luminance equivalent to one candela per square meter).

The machine is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor and comes with 2GB of RAM, which can be expanded to up to 8GB. The 160GB HDD sits in a special protective enclosure, which helps it resist shocks, and the included quick-release mechanism makes it possible to remove the disk in just a few seconds to save data in case of emergency. However, it’s very unlikely that you would be unfortunate enough to ever get yourself in a situation that the Panasonic Toughbook 19 wouldn’t survive. The laptop is a 6-foot drop and IP65 certified and capable of resisting water splashes from all directions.

The large built-in, removable battery lasts up to 9 hours and can be removed and replaced on the go. The aluminum chassis comes with expansion slots for a fingerprint scanner, GPS, second LAN, ExpressCards, and many other devices.

If everything sounds too good to be true, that’s because there’s a small catch: the laptop starts at approximately $2,500 for a relatively basic configuration with outdated hardware. For comparison, you can get many times as powerful machines without the ruggedness of the Panasonic Toughbook 19 for just around $500.

Conclusion

We hope that our overview of some of the best rugged tablets on the market helped you decide which is the right one for you. If you are still uncertain, consider asking your employees and coworkers about their opinion or check out some online video reviews.

10 Best LTE Tablets In 2019

Tablets are great devices to have around, but one of their limitations is that, really, they need to be connected up to Wi-Fi to use the Internet at all. That means that if you need to use it on the go, you’ll have to be lucky enough to run into a Wi-Fi Hotspot somewhere or stop in at a coffee shop or restaurant that offers free Wi-Fi.

However, if you don’t mind spending a little extra money, you can get rid of that hassle entirely by picking up a tablet with cellular functionality. That way, you can use your tablet on a cell network as well as at home connected up to your Wi-Fi. Follow along below, and we’ll show you the 10 best LTE tablets in 2019.

Apple iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular

Even if you’re an Android guru at heart, it’s difficult to avoid the Apple iPad because of how polished and well-supported they are. Android tablets have never been able to take the spotlight, always coming out subpar in some way — whether that be in slowness, battery, thickness or even a poor display. While they’re start to catch up, you still can’t go wrong with the Apple iPad that supports cellular connectivity. You’ll be able to take your iPad on the go without worrying about trying to find a Wi-Fi connection, all while still enjoying the same great media experience the iPad provides.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3

If you’re looking for a premium top of the line Android tablet experience, you cannot go wrong with the Galaxy Tab S3. This particular model has a beautiful Super AMOLED display that you can enjoy on the go thanks to its cellular LTE support. The tablet was designed to work on all GSM networks, so you should be able to enjoy this beautiful tablet even while you’re on the go.

It also has a built-in stylus for those that would rather use that than the finger for touch-based actions — the stylus also makes it easier for putting together presentations or excel documents.

Buy it now: Amazon

HTC Google Nexus 9

Maybe you’d prefer the “Pure Android” or “Vanilla Android” experience. It’s quite a bit different than Samsung’s skin of Android and definitely iOS. It’s slimmer, faster and a whole lot more efficient on battery power. It’s sleeker looking as well. Not only that, but the Nexus 9 has cellular connectivity, so you’ll be able to use it anywhere you go as well, even in the middle of, say, a park. HP 2-in-1 Spectre

Or, maybe you’d like something that has more of a laptop-style to it. The HP Spectre is a 2-in-1 laptop that can turn into a tablet simply be removing the magnetic keyboard. It’s based off of Windows 10, so you’ll be able to use all of your Windows 10 programs with ease — Microsoft Excel, Office, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, etc.

This is a Verizon LTE model, so you’ll have to be on Verizon to use its cellular functionality, which isn’t a huge deal with how cheap it is for a device like this. However, you’ll be able to use the Wi-Fi wherever of course.

Buy it now: Amazon

Samsung Galaxy Tab E

Next up on our list is the Galaxy Tab E from Samsung. This is an Android-based tablet, so you’ll have access to the Google Play Store and its hundreds of thousands of goodies. This is a cheaper Android tablet with cellular connectivity, so it’s only running KitKat, but you’ll still be able to get LTE functionality all the way down to 3G. It also only has 16GB of storage, but you can expand that by 64GB with a microSD card.

It’s also worth noting that the cellular features will only work on AT&T’s network, so you’ll need an active AT&T account to use it, or you’ll need to create a new one and get a specific SIM card for the Galaxy Tab E. Either way, it’s fairly cheap to get a tablet like this on a plan per month (around $10 a month, possibly a little more depending on your data allowance).

Buy it now: Amazon

Apple iPad Pro

It’s no surprise that at the top of our list is Apple’s 11 inch iPad Pro. Sleek and sophisticated, you won’t be disappointed with this one. As for the specifics, we’re cheating a little bit, because this tablet is actually 11 inches. It actually has a Liquid Retina panel, with wide color, true tone, and ProMotion. Suffice to say, you get a beautiful experience here. With the embedded A12X Bionic Chip with Neural Engine, you’ll have up to ten full hours of battery life. It’s also compatible with the Apple Pencil and their Smart Keyboard.

Not a fan of the iPad Pro? Then you’ll want to check out Samsung’s offering — the Tab S4 is actualy one the best of the best that Android has to offer. This one is a direct competitor to the iPad Pro, offering you a gorgeous 10.5-inch display. Apps, games, movies, and TV shows look excellent on this screen — text is clear as well, so it’s easy on the eyes. One of the benefits to the Galaxy Tab S4 is that it comes with an S-Pen — that’s a huge advantage over the iPad Pro, where you have to buy the Apple Pencil separately.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A

Don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount of cash on a tablet? Then you might want to consider a slightly downgraded version to the Tab S4, the Galaxy Tab A. This is more of a mid-range tablet, so you’ll get a slightly less clear screen, as well as some downgraded hardware. The tablet will still be able to handle most you throw at it, but most importantly, it’s able to support 4G LTE connections on most carriers, and at half the cost of a Tab S4!

LG G Pad XII

LG has been stepping up their tablet game recently, introducing the G Pad XII as the next best high-end tablet. With a 10.1-inch WUXIA HD display and a premium hardware package, this tablet can take some serious abuse. The hardware package means the G Pad XII can handle most apps and high end games, and the decent display will provide you with a great viewing experience, as well as sharp text. Most importantly, the G Pad XII supports 4G LTE!

Surface Pro LTE

Need something more powerful than what a tablet can offer? Or, maybe you just want to run apps that you would on a PC or laptop on your laptop. In that case, you’ll want to pick up a Surface Pro with LTE. The Surface Pro is essentially a full blown laptop, but in the form of a tablet. You can add a keyboard to it if you want, but for the most part, it is a portable tablet, a tablet that you can run your PC apps on. It has some pretty good battery life, and you can use it anymore with a supported LTE data plan.

Verdict

So, which one should you choose? It can be a difficult decision. If you want an iPad, we recommend going with the iPad with Wi-Fi and Cellular model, or if you’ve got the cash, the latest edge-to-edge iPad Pro. It certainly won’t let you down. But, if you’d rather use more computer-based apps, we recommend the HP Spectre 2-in-1 hands down. For Android, if you have the cash to spend, the Nexus 9 is a fantastic experience. The Surface Pro LTE is another top choice if you’ve got money to drop on something like this.

No matter what tablet you choose, you’ll still get a great experience with capabilities of accessing the Internet on-the-go.

There are so many things to factor in when rounding up, for instance, the finest Bluetooth headsets that it comes as no surprise today’s top ten directory already looks very different from the September and April 2015 rosters.

Bluetooth headset

Thus, without a doubt, we’ll need to refresh the 2017 best Bluetooth headset collection at least once before the new year wraps up, but for now, let’s focus on the current cream of the crop, ordered from most recommended:

Plantronics Voyager Legend

Plantronics Voyager Legend

Cheaper than ever before, the “legendary” Bluetooth 4.0-enabled mono Plantronics Voyager Legend headset withstands rain, sweat and coffee spills, can separate your voice from 80 Db’s of background noise (which is a lot, trust us), and automatically answers calls if you just start wearing it all of a sudden.

At the same time, it redirects audio to your phone when it senses the user doesn’t want to activate hands-free endeavors, and understands two very straightforward spoken commands – answer or ignore. Pretty intuitive UI at such a low price.

JayBird X2 – starting at $129

JayBird X2

As the successor to the incomparable Bluebuds X, we always expected the X2 headphones to cost far more than most of their low-profile new rivals. There are a number of good reasons for that, including brand loyalty and product reliability, the latter of which is supported by Amazon’s four-star review average.

Then you have a minimalistic, timeless, unparalleled design, six different coats of paint, ranging from “alpha” to “storm” to “ice”, a lifetime sweat proof warranty, SignalPlus technology for skip-free music outdoors, 8-hour battery life, and Shift Premium Bluetooth audio quality. It’s perfect for professional and novice athletes, business users, audiophiles and travel enthusiasts.

Samsung Level U Pro – $90

Samsung Level U Pro

Don’t let the manufacturer’s name fool you into thinking this is a Galaxy-exclusive “appliance.” It can work fine with any type of Bluetooth-enabled Android handheld, and even iPhones. It’s good for wirelessly initiating and answering voice calls, but especially playing music, courtesy of Ultra High Quality Audio (UHQA) features delivering a “true” 24bit digital audio experience on the tiniest imaginable earbuds.

Flexible and neck-adjustable, the Level U Pro can also handle its occasional splash, and technically lasts up to 9 full hours of talk or play time on a single charge.

Jabra Move – $86

Jabra Move

Before you even start, we know, we’re comparing apples and oranges, i.e. over-the-ear and in-ear headphones. But both classes of devices work towards the same end goal, the former typically edging out the latter in audio quality and the latter easily winning the portability battle.

Besides, we’re not telling you to choose the Jabra Move over the JayBird X2 or vice versa. We’re simply urging you to consider every possibility, including paying just 85 bucks or so for a pair of large yet lightweight stereo headphones that look extremely similar to your “premium”, overpriced Beats Studio.

Jabra Stealth – $80

Jabra Stealth

Why in the world would you ever go for a mono earbud when it costs the same or more than decent stereo mobile accessories? Well, because sometimes, it’s wise to keep an ear free and connected to the surrounding reality, and because the Jabra Stealth ensures “crystal clear sound at both ends of phone calls.”

This bad boy’s built-in mic is the best in the biz, and through tricks that may often feel like magic, it somehow manages to reduce background noise to the absolute minimum. Oh, oh, oh, and it’s got a dedicated physical button for remote activation and voice interaction with Google Now. Also, NFC for easy pairing, Multiuse for controlling the audio on two handhelds at once, and 6-hour autonomy in HD voice calls.

LG Tone Pro – $40 and up

LG Tone Pro

And we’re back to stereo headsets. To an industry classic, that is, which ergonomically bends around your neck for an ideal fit and stellar ergonomics, taking less than two hours to charge and then resisting up to 21 days in standby or a whopping 15 hours in talk time.

The design for this LG Tone Pro received awards, enhanced bass response, HD Voice, aptX compatibility, echo cancellation and noise reduction cover everything you need in both call and music modes, but unfortunately, the advanced age comes with a Bluetooth 3.0 speed tradeoff.

Photive BTH3 – $40

Photive BTH3

Here we have a cheap as chips over-the-ear wireless Bluetooth headset with built-in mic and 12 hour battery that doesn’t look very glamorous, but pulls off its duties honorably, generally satisfying almost 3,000 Amazon customers.

A four-star review average means the bang for buck factor is as delightful in reality as it looks on paper, though compared to some of our list’s headliners, the Photive BTH3 may not be so great for high-fidelity audio detail playback.

AYL V4.1 – $26

AYL V4.1

The AYL brand name probably doesn’t ring many bells, the design is by no means special, but at the end of the day, there has to be something special about this in-ear stereo headset, since Amazon currently lists it as its general best seller in Bluetooth cell phone headsets.

Granted, that doesn’t directly make it the best Bluetooth headset of 2016, not even to date, but it goes to show you don’t need to spend a full Benjamin to enjoy decent wireless smartphone audio controls, including on two devices simultaneously, with EDR APT-X decode technology, CVC 6.0 digital noise reduction, and 10 meters range.

SoundPeats QY7 – $20

SoundPeats

Bluetooth 4.1 capabilities? Check. Ergonomic, lightweight design? Double check. Lengthy endurance? Semi-check, at 5 hours in “premium quality talk/play time.” Partial liquid protection? You got it. Why only 20 clams then? No idea, but let’s keep it on the down low, before the little known manufacturers realize they could get more.  The SoundPeats QY7 is the true underdog of this list.

Mpow Wolverine – $20

Mpow Wolverine

You thought the Mpow Cheetah was flashy, eye-catching and, well, ear-catching with a decidedly cool name? Mpow Wolverine takes everything to the next level, clawing its way on our top ten list of today’s best Bluetooth headsets thanks to 4.1 compatibility (read easy pairing with all the new high-end Androids), “dynamic”, rich sound (they all say that, though), a unique, rectangular look, robust aluminum shell, Noise Cancellation 6.0, and 8-hour battery performance under heavy use.

We don’t remember ever seeing the X-Men listen to any tunes, but Hugh Jackman can sure sing and dance, so we wouldn’t be shocked to hear him endorse Mpow. For free, even, given the profit margins here are likely razor-thin already.

Apple iPad Mini 4

Apple’s iPad Mini 4 is a powerhouse, with storage space available up to 128GB. With that much storage, you’ll never have to delete another beloved family photograph. The iSight camera takes pictures at 8MP with 1080P HD video recording.

This particular iPad Mini comes in three available colors: silver, gold, and space gray, and has up to 10 hours of battery life and coveted quad-core graphics and Bluetooth compatibility.

Another awesome advantage with any Apple device is the ability to take your device to a Genius Bar near you. Fire HD 8 Tablet with Alexa

Amazon’s Fire tablet comes in black and primary colors, canary yellow, punch red, and marine blue. Fire tablets have come a long way since the beginning, but the neat thing is that they are little investment. If you’re contemplating whether one is right for you, the price really is not bad if you just end up using it for say, an eReader or something simple like that.

And if this tablet is anything, it’s durable. It will be able to stand the test of anyone most prone to dropping their devices. And with Alexa integration, you can also do a lot of things hands-free from across the room, like start up an app or play music. There’s plenty of options, and Alexa is there to help.

It’s a basic tablet, but it has a package specifically designed for transforming it into a device more suitable for children, with time limits, Bluelight Filter, customizable app restrictions, and more.

The display itself is also FHD and designed to capture sharp, colorful images. This makes watching your recorded videos or favorite movies a breeze and extremely clear, which is an awesome feature, along with the 64GB of storage. Even with all these great features, though, the tablet is still sleek and slim, perfect for taking with you.

Verdict

If you’re looking to buy a new tablet, these are some truly great options. With so much on the market, we always think it’s a good idea to shop around and find what’s right for you. And who knows? If you can’t decide between two, maybe you should get both!

Best rugged Android tablets money can buy

Update: check out our 2017 edition of best rugged tablet list and our best rugged smartphone list

From luxury to commodity to absolute necessity, being able to connect to the web while on the go and carrying your work with you far and wide have taken new meanings in recent years, as conventional PCs lost steam and ultraportable alternatives rapidly gained traction.

Best Rugged Android Tablet

Tablet construction site

And whereas most smartphone and tablet owners nowadays still fall in the light to moderate user categories in regards to their productivity and range of tasks completed, there are those who take gadgets very seriously, depending on them not to entertain and amuse, but put bread on the table.

These power users are not the same so-called power users that Apple or Samsung usually address with fancy new iPhone, iPad or Galaxy launches. They are real-life, modern John McClanes, who rock Casio Commandos, Kyocera Torques or Cat B15s as “daily drivers”, not because they make them feel manlier, but because a bendable 6 Plus or GNote 4 couldn’t get a through a workday without cracking under pressure.

They’re not heroes, they just like things done a certain way. They work in tough outdoor conditions but never complain. Even in their spare time, they love hanging out in the wild, with nature’s strengths and shortcomings.

Panasonic Toughpad

They’re not afraid of a splash of water, dust, dirt, extreme temperatures, altitudes or things like radiation or vibration. Some can even take a bullet without blinking. Each and every one of them however need survival tools, and a good starting point are the rugged Android smartphones we recommended a while back.

Next step? A solid yet compact and portable, secure, smooth and powerful ruggedized Android tablet. Yes, we know, Windows has the upper hand for the most part in this grossly overlooked niche. But if you look hard enough, here are some of the best Google-powered options you’ll be able to find:

Fujitsu Stylistic M532 – available at $358 on Amazon

Just so we don’t scare you right off the bat, we’ve decided to start the countdown of the best rugged Android tabs with possibly the world’s cheapest. Obviously, the M532 is thus not the most robust ultraportable money can buy.

On the bright side, it’s fairly thin and light, at 8.6 mm and 560 grams respectively. And given the wasp waist and low price, the 10 incher is no featherweight, withstanding extreme conditions such as high altitude, shocks, vibrations and minimal or maximum temperatures, courtesy of MIL-STD-810G certification.

Fujitsu Stylistic M532

The Stylistic can also remain whole after being dropped a few times, though it’s best to protect it from violent contacts with hard surfaces. Above all, the M532 is a business-oriented slab, offering a host of security add-ons and data protection methods, and ergo being a better fit for an enterprise environment rather than a construction site or war zone.

Last but not least, the thing runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, packs quad-core power, 1 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.

Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A1

Just so you know, the Android “Terminators” are arranged in no particular order, as they’re simply too different to rank. Clearly, pitting the Toughpad FZ-A1 against the Stylistic M532 would have been comparing apple to oranges.

Toughpad FZ-A1

That said, deciding between the two is pretty easy. Fujitsu’s option is better for enterprise, this thing “dares to go where no tablet has gone before”. Meaning you definitely want to put on a protection helmet while on duty as, say, a contractor, but this baby can handle any and all environments by itself.

Yes, it’s that tough. It even comes with an extended 3-year warranty to show you how durable it is. And Panasonic may not list bullet resistance as one of the slate’s features, but honestly, this is your safest best for a war comrade.

Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A1 back

It’s massive, at 2.1 pounds, it can handle repeated drops from dizziness-inducing heights, and it’s of course MIL-STD-810G certified. The carcass is encased in magnesium alloy, the corner guards are made of elastomer, and you get all kinds of hardware encryption methods, the highest degree of password security, root and anti-virus protection.

Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 – available at $1,486 on Amazon

Does $1,500 feel a little too rich for your blood? We get where you’re coming from, and don’t blame you, but believe it or not, the JT-B1 is even stronger than the other Panasonic Toughpad. Aside from complying with all military standards for everything from extreme temperatures to rain and freeze, this compact little 7 incher sports a sealed “all-weather design”.

Toughpad JT-B1

And the raised bezel increases the LCD impact protection. Translation: you can drop the JT-B1 on its face over and over again, and it won’t crack. The craziest thing is the device’s weight, 1.2 pounds, although the 8-hour battery life is a close second.

Getac Z710 – $1,495

This is the last uber-expensive tab we’re going to list, we promise. And perhaps we’d never have recommended it in the first place, especially as it doesn’t come from a big-name manufacturer, but the Z710 breathes strength through its every pore. Maybe more than the Toughpad rivals.

What we like the most at Getac’s design approach is they knew from the get-go their target audience couldn’t care less about style and elegance. There are no aesthetical bells and whistles here, just a 7-inch tablet small enough to hold in one hand and “built to survive”.

Getac Z710

Six-foot drops, extreme temps, solar radiation, you name it. Oh, and the screen is perfectly readable in the most difficult lighting conditions, plus glove-friendly. A barcode scanner is inbuilt for obvious reasons, and 3G connectivity is not an option, it’s standard.

Guaranteed to last you at least three years of constant abuses, the Z710 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and packs 1 GB RAM, as well as 16 GB internal storage.

Xplore RangerX – $1,391

1,400 bucks is still a lot of money, but not only is the RangerX a little cheaper than our previous two recommendations, it’s also larger, at 10 inches, and thus more productive. Needless to stress this can also take a loooot of abuse, specifically repeated drops on every edge, corner, plus directly on its face, including on concrete from heights of up to 4 feet.

rangerx

Then you have all the extreme conditions that don’t affect the usability of the big guy in the least, which include -4° F to 140° F temperatures, blowing rain, 95% humidity, functional shock, 15,000 feet altitudes, fluid contamination and solar radiation.

As for security options and neat add-ons and features, Xplore Tech equipped this beast with Gigabit Ethernet, CAC and Smart Card Readers, a Kensington lock slot and optional Verizon 4G LTE among others. Just beware of the vague, fishy Amazon listing and maybe go over to Xplore directly for a quote depending on your exact needs.

Motorola ET1 – $1,246

Bet you didn’t know this thing still existed, huh? Well, it has amazingly survived Motorola’s rise and fall, its retreat from the tablet market and successive buyouts from Google and Lenovo. Of course, it’s no longer widely available, but Amazon sells it directly, and the price isn’t so bad… all things considered.

Keep in mind that Moto put Jelly Bean on the 7 incher a while back, so the software at least should be silky smooth. The hardware, not so much, as that dual-core TI OMAP 4 processor is horribly outdated. Not quite as indestructible as some of the above contenders, the ET1 remains a top choice for enterprise users, with its manageability, security and decent durability.

Motorola ET1

The spec sheet includes a bar code scanner, phenomenal 8 MP rear camera, 1 GB RAM and protection for 4-feet drops, thermal shock, humidity, etc., etc.

Before wrapping up, we’d like to remind you the Android universe is an extremely volatile one, so keep your eyes out for alternatives yet to come. Like Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Active. Not recommended for the most extreme wild conditions, the $700 KitKat-loaded 8 incher will nevertheless fight water and dust, plus remain operational after dropped from 4-feet high… in theory. It’s your call now, so choose wisely and stay safe.

5 Tablets With The Most RAM In 2019

While manufacturers take RAM capacities very seriously when it comes to smartphones, the same approach hasn’t been followed with tablets in the industry. But that trend is quickly changing with companies more open to devices with more RAM to aid productivity and other tasks on the device. However, given the sheer number of tablets available in the industry today, it can be quite difficult to get the best device meant for your liking. It can be quite difficult to manually scrape the corners of the internet to find a tablet with the most RAM capacity on board.

Keeping this in mind, we have compiled a healthy list of tablets available in the industry today with most RAM on board. There are a number of options to choose from, including the Apple iPad Pro, so you will probably be spoiled for choices. Have a look for more details.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

Samsung’s high-end Android tablet, comes with 4GB of RAM on board. This puts it in the majority of newly launched Android tablets selling in the markets. The device comes with a 10.5-inch 2560 x 1600 resolution display, which is practically the same as the iPad and iPad mini. Keeping this in mind, the device is bound to have precisely the same pixel density as the iPads, although the display quality is bound to be better since it’s using an AMOLED panel here.

The Galaxy Tab S4 also comes with the octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC, 512GB of expandable storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 8-megapixel front camera, Android 8.1 Oreo, and a 7,300 mAh battery under the hood. You can turn this into a complete workstation if you get the keyboard cover (bought separately). All these factors combined, the Galaxy Tab S4 is a fantastic tablet to own with a decent amount of RAM on board.

The tablet is available on Amazon right now at a great price considering the kind of features it’s packing by default.

Apple iPad Pro

One of Apple’s most powerful tablets, the iPad Pro is packing 4GB of RAM on board. Given that this particular iPad is used by the productivity bugs, Apple has left no stone unturned in making this one of the best devices it has ever made. In addition to 4GB of RAM, the iPad Pro also comes with a massive 10.5-inch 1668 x 2224 resolution display, which promises to offer the best in terms of performance. Powering the device is the company’s A10X Fusion processor, which is comfortably the best CPU Apple has ever produced.

In the camera department, the customers will be treated to a 12-megapixel rear camera, and a 7-megapixel front camera, notably from the iPhone lineup. So it’s clear that in addition to offering raw power, Apple wants this to be a pretty decent photo/video capturing device as well. Naturally, the device also supports the Apple Smart Keyboard as well as the Apple Pencil, making it a pretty decent offering overall. It comes with iOS 10 and a 30.4 Wh battery which can last up to 10 hours.

The 256GB WiFi only variant of the iPad Pro can be snatched for $749 from Amazon right now.

ASUS ZenPad 3S 10

This tablet is pretty similar to the Galaxy Tab S4, in that it comes with a 9.7-inch display with the same resolution. In terms of RAM, the tablet comes with 4GB of it by default, which should be plenty to run the apps of your choice without breaking a sweat.

The tablet comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, 32/64GB of storage, the six-core Mediatek MT8176 chipset, Android 6.0 Marshmallow (upgradable to Nougat), and a non-removable 5,900 mAh battery. Overall, it’s a fantastic device when we talk about the hardware alone, and the array of ASUS specific features on board make it a very attractive device to own overall. Since it’s one of the newer breeds of tablets, it comes with a USB C port by default.

The tablet is available for just $289 via Amazon right now, making it one of the cheapest offerings for the price tag quoted by the seller. Be sure to have a closer look at this product.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro comes with a 10.1-inch display and a resolution of 1600 x 2560, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The company’s Yoga series of devices come with a convertible form factor, which in this case is quite limited, but will still get the job done. It comes with a stand like contraption on the back, allowing you to use the tablet in basically any format. This could be useful for watching media, getting some productive work done.

The tablet comes with a quad-core 2.4 GHz Intel Core Atom x5-Z8500 chipset, 64GB of storage (expandable), a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and a 10,200 mAh battery. Given the kind of hardware features it’s packing, the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is a powerhouse in every area, and one of the most popular tablets on this list along with the iPad Pro.

The tablet will set you back by $474.98 and can be purchased from Amazon right away.

Huawei MediaPad M3

This is yet another tablet on this list with 4GB of RAM on board, and it comes with a pretty decent hardware specs sheet as well. It’s packing an 8.4-inch 2560 x 1600 resolution display, coupled with the octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 950 chipset. It’s got a fingerprint scanner on the front, which means the bezels are slightly thicker than a conventional tablet. Huawei has gone with Harman Kardon speakers to boost the audio quality of the internal speakers.

Further, the tablet is packing 32/64GB of expandable storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and a 5,100 mAh battery to keep the device going for prolonged intervals. Overall, I personally feel that this is one of the best small Android tablets right now, and perhaps one of the few mini tablets with 4GB of RAM on board.

The device will set you back by $389.50 via Amazon, and the seller is currently offering the tablet in only white, so you don’t have too many options to choose from.

Naturally, tablets also need to have a big battery underneath to power all those pixels in the display. Given the larger form factor, these devices are expected to last longer than a regular smartphone would. Keeping this in mind, the modern day tablets come with mammoth batteries on board, allowing customers to use it for prolonged intervals without having to look for a charging outlet.

Given the current trend, there are a lot of big battery tablets available in the market today. Keeping this in mind, it can be quite an ask to get the best tablet suited for your needs. So we are going to compile a list of tablets that come with massive batteries under the hood. Although we mostly talk about Android tablets, there’s an iPad in the mix as well, just to spice things up a little bit.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016)

The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 comes with a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 resolution display, along with the octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and a 7,300 mAh battery under the hood. There’s an S Pen model of the tablet as well, which will cost slightly higher, but is well worth a try if you want some creative work done on the go.

Samsung has heavily invested in the tablet industry and all its offerings come with a handful of unique features to make them stand out from the competition. Unlike the newer crop of Samsung tablets, this one doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner on board. This is expected given that the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 isn’t a high-end offering.

The tablet can be snatched up from Amazon right now for $279.99, which is a very decent price to pay given the kind of features it packs.

Apple iPad (2017)

Apple refreshed the iPad lineup with a new model earlier. This variant comes with a mammoth 8,827 mAh battery under the hood, thus giving the iPad one of the best batteries among modern day tablets. The software also plays a big part in saving the battery of the iPad.

Moving on, the tablet comes with a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 Retina Display, the dual-core Apple A9 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32/128GB of storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.2-megapixel front camera, iOS 10.3, and stereo speakers for optimum performance. The design is pretty much the same as the predecessors, although there are some minor tweaks made to the exterior. The tablet also comes with the company’s fingerprint scanner, known as the Touch ID sensor.

Since this is a newer iPad model, customers can expect it to be covered by Apple’s updates for the next two years at least. The 2017 iPad can be snatched up for as low as $399.99 via Amazon right now.

Lenovo Tab 4 10

One of the cheaper tablets on this list, the Lenovo Tab 4 10 comes with a pretty exciting specs sheet to match the price tag. In fact, one will find the tablet to be extremely competitive compared to some of the high-end offerings that are available in the market today. The Tab 4 10 comes with a 10.1-inch HD display, so it won’t necessarily compete with the high-end offerings available in the market today. It also comes with a 7,000 mAh battery under-the-hood, which makes this a pretty exciting tablet overall.

The tablet also comes with 16/32GB of expandable storage, 2GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera, a quad-core 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 425, and Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone also comes with dual-speakers on board, making it a pretty handy multimedia device.

The tablet will set you back by $179.99 via Amazon, which is pretty astounding given the kind of specs it’s packing under the hood.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro

This is the second Lenovo offering on this list and clearly one of the most powerful as well. Thanks to the unique design offered by Lenovo here, the device can be used in multiple angles, making it suitable for practically everyone. It’s got a mammoth 10,200 mAh battery under the hood, which means it can last throughout the day with moderate to heavy usage.

The tablet also comes with a 10.1-inch 2560 x 1600 resolution display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, an Intel Atom x5-Z8500 quad-core chipset clocked at 2.4 GHz. The Yoga Tab 3 Pro comes with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage. The device comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, though, so you’re not getting Nougat out of the box here.

The device is packing Dolby Atmos audio enhancement to boost the performance of the onboard JBL speakers. There are a total of four speakers here, so you can be assured of getting the best audio performance from this beast. The Yoga Tab 3 Pro is currently priced at $474.98, and can be bought via Amazon.

ASUS ZenPad Z10 (ZT500KL)

This particular offering was launched last year and comes with a display very similar to the Apple iPad. The tablet comes with a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 display, along with a 7,800 mAh battery. It’s also packing the hexa-core Snapdragon 650 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and a USB C port to allow rapid charging with compatible chargers.

The tablet is also equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera. ASUS has been kind enough to offer DTS HD audio enhancements by default, making this a complete performer. The tablet is LTE compatible as well, although there are WiFi only models available out there, so be sure to check carefully before you make the purchase online.

You can currently grab the WiFi + LTE model from Amazon for $372.67. The listing mentions that the tablet here is compatible with Verizon. Although we recommend checking with the seller to make sure.
