Orange Holiday SIM

Orange is up next, offering you fast 4G data in thirty different EU-based countries. France is one of those, but you can take it anywhere in the EU in your travels. This is a SIM that you can keep with you, so when you run out of data or talk time, you can just top up.

Your first purchase will give you 10GB of total data to use for 14 days. There's two hours of talk time, and then another 1,000 messages available.

UK Europe ThreeUK SIM Card

ThreeUK offers something that they're calling the UK Europe SIM Card. It's obviously for international European travel, but will work in France easily. This one actually enables you to call UK and EU numbers alike, wherever you are in the EU. This is actually considered a local EU SIM card, making this one of the more affordable choices out there. It actually puts you in Three UK's network for data in the UK, and then data, talk, and text all throughout the EU, where ThreeUK has partners -- which is most of the EU. Your package gets you 12GB of data to use, 3000 voice minutes, and 3000 texts. You can easily top off your data when you're out.

Mobal Europe Plus SIM

First up, we have the Mobal Europe Plus SIM. You get a whole 1GB of free data and unrestricted tethering. That's a pretty nice offer, since hotspot / tethering features usually cost extra.

Mobal allows you to accept calls from people in over 130 different countries, including text messages. You can do all of that as outgoing as well, but rates are a little pricer than a local SIM in France -- Mobal's rate sit at 30¢ per minute in all countries, including Germany. It's still less expensive than roaming charges in the US, but pricey as far as local options go.

Mobal is, however, one of the more reliable choices that you can depend on while traveling.

Internet with legs Trio

The Internet with legs Trio by ThreeUK is one of the nicer choices for traveling to France. You actually get up to 3GB of data for 90 days. The SIM will work in any mobile Wi-Fi device, tablets and smartphones alike. That's not a whole lot, but ThreeUK allows you to top up as needed.

ThreeUK allows you to roam the USA without any extra charges as well. This allows you to test their SIM card with your phone before committing to it for your French adventure.

Keepgo Global Lifetime SIM Card

Keepgo's Global Lifetime SIM card might be coming out last up on our list, but it's still an excellent choice for those that are looking to travel to France. This is a nice provider, because they want to give customers data wherever they are in the world. That includes places like France! Keepgo gives you 1GB of data that stays valid for 1 year -- and you can refill as you need it.

It only works with GSM phones -- CDMA phones need not enter here. It does come with a SIM adapter kit to ensure that your SIM card works with all types of GSM phones.
