Asus K008 Tablet with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Spotted at Bluetooth SIG

An upcoming product called Asus K008 was revealed by Bluetooth SIG just recently. The new product is apparently a tablet. Then, another reason why the leak has been receiving a loud buzz over the Internet is because it was discovered that it will be carrying Google’s unannounced OS, which is the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The Bluetooth SIG Documentation

Based on Mobileaks and Droid RZR, the photo below reflects the documentation made by Bluetooth SIG:

Asus K008 from Bluetooth SIG

The Product Name

As shown in the photo above, the design name of the product is the K008 and the company who owns it is Asustek Computer Inc., also commonly known as Asus. Take note though that the upcoming tablet may not necessarily be called as the Asus K008 because the company may apply a catchier name to it later to please consumers.

The Operating System

The picture indicated a software version number JWR11 too. According to the sources, the software version number displayed in the certification points out to the Android 4.3 carrying the codename Jelly Bean. Up to now, Google refused to comment on its upcoming version of the Jelly Bean. But looking at the information provided by the Bluetooth certification site and other benchmarking results featured in our previous reports, it won’t be long until the company finally unveils it.

The Display

Going to the screen, the device was said to be sporting a 7-inch display. In addition, it was described by the document to include LED-backlit capacitive multitouch screen. There is a debate though whether the Asus K008 will really have a 7-inch or 10-inch screen.

Mobileaks claimed that as of May this year, the same tablet appeared on the Federal Communications Commision website. The site stated that the FCC document showed a 10-inch display for the soon-to-be-released Asus k008.
